Sushi Mentai Segamat — Restaurant in Johor

Disappointed. Their food and service are getting worse. Machine spoilt, no sushi to be served but no one told us when we took Q number. After waited for about 25 mins, we were finally seated. Finished choosing our favorite sushi, when we wanted to pass the order paper to the staff, only the staff told us there was no sushi on that day, except temaki. There were so many chances for them to highlight to us, from taking Q number to being seated, but none of them told or highlight to us. Their only explanation was there was a paper pasted on the front door. Great! It's my fault! Because we were waiting at the side of the restaurant, not at the front door. As we have waited for nearly half an hour, my parents and kids were hungry, so we didn't want to change place. We ordered their ramen and teriyaki chicken don for dinner. We waited for another about half an hour, finally our food are all served. The soup of their ramen was very watery and tasteless, karage was soggy, only the noodles are alright. Teriyaki chicken was my all time favorite, nothing can goes wrong if choosing teriyaki chicken. This is the 1st time I can't taste teriyaki sauce on a teriyaki chicken, and the rice was too sticky and overcooked. For a moment, I thought I was served wrongly, but no, this is the teriyaki chicken don I ordered. I didn't know what I was having, I was starving after all the waiting, just quickly finish the chickens and in my head thinking about ramli burger. This is the very 1st time in my life that I couldn't finish a teriyaki chicken meal. I want to bring attention to a particular girl with light brown, medium-length hair. Each time I visited the restaurant, I was treated poorly by her.

During a family lunch at the restaurant, she took over half an hour to serve our food, and when she finally arrived, she carelessly threw the dishes onto the table.

On another occasion, we were waiting in the restaurant around 9:00 p.m. while they were closing up. I was standing near the belt, and this same girl, while wrapping it up, deliberately got too close to a family member and trying 偷throw the cleaning rag at us. you can ask us to left the belt so you can clean it.

Conclusion: To the girl in question, if you're unhappy with your job, it's better to quit than to treat customers this way. We deserve better service, and I urge Sushi Mentai to address this issue as it’s not just our family experiencing this kind of treatment. Went right at openning time (1130) and took some items from the conveyor belt. All up to standards for conveyor belt fair and gunkan. The menu items were great, especially the toro sashimi and salmon head teriyaki. The toro pieces were fresh in excellent portions. Melt in your mouth yumminess. The salmon head was as good as some top japanese restos I've been to in other countries including Japan and the US. Maybe I was lucky that it was cook to my liking (almost sashim at the centre of the meat. The cheek, collar, and top of the head were all killer tender. The smokiness was such that I ate all the skin and gelatinous bits as well. The iced green tea was light but not bitter so my kids liked it too. The price point can't be beat and quality was not sacrificed.
