I’ve been eating at this Cibiuk outlet since it opened about 10 years ago. I can still recall being blown away and reduced to tears (literally) by one of their super spicy sambals from the sambal station. I think I have not been here after the Covid lockdowns and my recent visit was somewhat disappointing. The place appears somewhat gloomy and dark and seems to have lost its spark. Service was fair and food was served quite quickly after ordering using the QR ordering system. The centrepiece Sambal Station now only offers four small bowls of sambal, none of which were particularly spicy. The accompanying vegetables consisting of carrots, long beans and bitter gourd had all been blanched and did not have the necessary freshness anymore. The Nasi Liwet with Ayam Bakar came with a fragrant shallot infused rice which was as good as before. The chicken was a smaller size but has the same sweet spicy sauce as before. Sides of fresh cucumber, salad leaf, fried tofu and tempeh were all decent. We were given a bowl of tomato sambal to accompany the rice as well but this again was not the fiery variety. Nasi with lele goreng/ ikan Keli was also decent and had the same sides as the Nasi Liwet. The fish size seems quite small. I liked the tofu which was soft and smooth on the inside and crispy outside. The tempeh wasn’t too great though. Avocado blend was a good option to counter some of the spiciness of the sambal. This is Recommended. Overall this was somewhat disappointing for me as I was measuring the food quality against when they newly opened. Prices have gone up and quality has deteriorated.

+++ 1st time being here.little bit awkward with bizarre names on d menus yet d waiter was nicely explained each questions being asked.some authentic Indonesian foods tantalising our taste buds(nasi liwet wrapped in banana leaves, satay, sambal mangga bumbu ).free flow varieties of sambal of different level of spiciness properly labelled with ingredients in each sambal available at sambal station.served with also free flow of Vege (carrot, green bean, bitter gourd).nice ambience and great service.comfy place with aircond.avocado drink is the best! --- Lots of flies.one of it went into our avocado drink.luckily at least they replaced with new one. We were among first few customers around noon.despite of not so many people yet we had to wait quite some time even for drink.so upset all kinds of seafood (ikan udang etc not available yet,we were informed it's available after 2pm. Avoid peak hours as u may miss the free flow sambal, (they don't top-up regularly)

Sundanese restaurant, price bit pricy but overall good experience. Nasi liwet was very nice, hard to find in Malaysia. Ayam bakar dara quite tasty too, but sayur lodeh too sweet for us, sorry cant accept. And sambal tomat too plain, need more shallot and need more chili and salt, no spicy at all. Tumis kangkung balacan nice level of spiciness and was tasty. Daging empal okay, quite tender. Soup ekor very pricy RM28.90, have around 4-5 cuts of ekor, bit carrot and cauliflower, taste was nice actually. Nasi timbel okay, taste just like normal nasi kukus. They have sambal corner with ulam. Have few kinds of sambal, my fave was sambal tempe and sambal mangga 👍👍 Ulam left with carrot only, staff never refill. Service bit slow and aircon not enough cold maybe because lunch hour, lots people.

The food that i eat very much to my liking, i dont remeber the name but the chicken is Ayam Kampung.

The ambience and environment is the best to none but price is slightly more than average but i still dont mind it as long the food taste good.

The green and red sambal is absolutely fabulous to my preferences as it's not overpower much to the spiciness.

Other than that, the staff is quite helpful when we are there but still understaff. It take about 5 - 10 minute to take our order. My suggestion, please to add more staff in front to take orders and send to us as soon as possible because some of my friends receive the food very late at the time.

By the way, this is my personal opinion and preference based on what i eat and feel at the time. Eventhough, what i review is nor reflex the true extend of the food and business at that time since i just order some type of food only in that...
