Stumbled upon this restaurant on my way to work site. Parked at the Chinese temple and in I went. Was greeted by my favourite Hakka dish, Hakka deep fried pork! Without wasting any time, i asked for the scoop 😁 not particularly cheap but still ok. RM13 for that plate I scooped. No one came to ask what drinks I want. After finishing my food (it was good) I saw freezer, cups, glasses on my way out. It’s actually at the side of the restaurant. The woman don’t sound like a local though. Probably Vietnamese. Ordered Hokkien mee as I saw other people eating it earlier, and a Vietnamese coffee. Vietnamese coffee - authentic 👍🏼 but too much ice and not enough coffee. Nice. Hokkien meehoon mee - wow! Surprisingly flavorful. And the sambal belacan… yums!! Will definitely return for Hakka dishes and other Vietnamese offerings. Hidden gem!

A hidden gem in Kampung Baru Batu 9. The restaurant is run by 3 person only, and only cater for around 8 table only. They doing the take away as well. The food is marvellous. Humble Vietnamese owner whose run the kitchen as well. Be prepared to wait around 1 hour for the food serving if the restaurant is full, and at the same time lot of take away. If you are rushing for the time, it's not the right place for you. But if you looking for good food with the patient heart, this will be the place which wouldn't dissapointed your palate. They famous for the hokkien mee, but the a la carte menu is highly recommended as well. Coffee is rich and smooth. No fancy plating, the taste will catch your palate. Worth to pay a visit if you have plenty of time to enjoy your meal.

A Vietnamese couple not offering their famous national dish Pho but running a fried noodles stall instead. The only item reminiscent of their roots is the drip coffee. Charcoal-fried Hokkien noodle is the main draw but they are also doing a pretty decent job in fried rice. Convenient operating hours with no break in-between lunch and dinner.
