Sate (MYR RM122 for 70 sticks) @ Sate Yus Kajang. . The more popular Willy Satay was closed, so this was the alternate choice, a decent find with positive reviews. . The place is brightly lit and clean, with clear prices, and a semi-open kitchen where you can observe staff expertly grilling skewers of meat. . No meal of satay is complete without complimentary Cucumbers & Red Onions. The crunchy juicy cucumbers relieve the palate with vegetal sweet flavour, while the crisp red onions contrast with sharp vegetal sour sweet spice flavour. . The Satay Beef (MYR RM1.60 per stick, RM16 for 10 sticks) is nicely grilled, with a decent meaty bite. The beef satay has a firm chewy texture, with a smoky meaty savoury salty flavour. . The Satay Chicken (MYR RM1.50 per stick, RM15 for 10 sticks) is tasty but slightly on the lean side. The chicken satay has a nice tender texture, with smoky meaty sweet savoury flavour, perhaps a tad more sweet than elsewhere. . The Satay Fish Mackeral (MYR RM1.50 per stick, RM15 for 10 sticks) was a surprise, this being the 1st time I've ever eaten a fish satay. It has a soft moist texture, with smoky sweet savoury spice flavour, I enjoyed it. . The Satay Mutton (MYR RM2.50 per stick, RM25 for 10 sticks) was the unanimous favourite. The mutton satay is juicy and tender in texture, with a satisfying smoky meaty savoury sweet salty flavour, so addictive we kept reaching for more. . The Satay Beef Tripe (MYR RM1.80 per stick, RM18 for 10 sticks) features pieces of beef tripe stomach, perfectly grilled. This beef tripe stomach satay has a crunchy slippery texture, with lovely smoky sweet earthy savoury flavour, yum. . The obligatory complimentary Peanut Gravy. Their rendition of peanut gravy here is medium chunky, with small bits of crushed peanuts within the medium thick gravy. Has a decent savoury salty nutty sweet flavour, tasty but not...

Read moreWe found this place accidentally. Intended to go to their competitor but it was closed. Nevertheless it was a great find. The satay was in good portion. Looks very appetizing, smells aromatic. It was very tasty well balanced. The chicken and beef satay was very succulent, moist, well done. Not overcooked or dry or tough. Perfect. However they ran out of lamb satay too soon for us to taste. It wouldve been even nicer if it was also served with chopped onions which they also ran out of. The gravy was also very tasty, the texture was very nice. The order came after 10 minutes which was fair for when we came it was rather full. I would recommend this place highly for any travellers. Please come and complete your malaysian tour especially whe you are here. Grab an uber / grabcar... worth the experience. But mind you the restaurant is not airconditioned. But it is a special ambience that these kind of places create, giving you the street...
