D'Shellout — Restaurant in Kedah

A very nice place for a small gathering. The restaurant is clean. The staff is also friendly and helpful. Nice ambience too. The shellout sauce is sweet and spicy but it leans more to the sweeter side. Lots of 'lala', prawns and squids in one serving for 3 pax. You can also get the shellout dish together with 1 big grilled fish for RM60 which is so reasonable in my opinion. I ordered the non-spicy grilled fish that was smothered with creamy turmeric sauce and it comes with air asam as the condiment. Drink selection is also wide. I ordered Thai green tea which is very nice, not too sweet and it comes in a very tall cup. However, the mixed tomyam is quite pricey and doesn't suit my tastebuds. Trying out the shellout for the first time and its commendable. In terms of taste, its comparable to the local Pine2..minus the hassle of paying for car parking..and the bustling crowd that makes eating a big chore. Car parking at this shop is easy because ample and free parking. For diners who enjoys the crowd however..may opt for pine2. There's other food too like western food, satay stall and ikan bakar. The yong tau foo however is a bit soggy when we went there....

Pernah lalu dulu dan teringin nk try.. so alhamdulillah.. dapa peluang jugak akhirnya.

Kedai tepi main road jalan langgar.

Ada tempat parking di kedai makan... x luas la.. boleh la dalam 10 bijik kereta.. kalau dah penuh boleh parking tepi jalan.

Shellout ok lah.. ikut selera masing2.. bagi saya not bad.. sedap.. kuah dia.. portion pun banyak.. walaupun set for 2.. overall.. no 2 best di alor setar.. no 1 till arab kitchen for me.

Fries and nuggets ok. Saya order air iced cappuccino.. gelaih dia tinggi.. bila ayaq mai sampai tu.. saya kata dah.. cantik gelaih dia.. tinggi.. cuma tinggi2 ni tak stabil and senang tumpah.. betoi seperti sangkaan.. tumpah jugak ayaq cappuccinoku.. nasib baik dah habih makan shellout. Tumpah sebab penutup dia x rapat.. tgk gambar balik mmg confirm. Nak alih ayaq pastu lid terbukak. Hehe.. tumpah separuh.. ok lah.. rezeki ku mcm tu. Maybe kedai boleh consider packaging lain.. gelaih pendek sikit tapi gemuk ok dah.. stabil skit.

Anyway, ada dpt kad loyalty.. setiap kali makan shellout sini.. dpt satu cop.. lepas penuh senua cop.. boleh claim chicken chop satu.
