I went with my Chinese friend and we ordered tossei each and I specifically told the waiter that I am Vegetarian and would want only dhal and coconut chutney. He nodded when I ask his confirmation that he understood and he even reaffirm that he will give me dhal curry of vegetarian. When the tossei was served, my friend got his plate with 3 gravies while my plate was with two gravies. The waiter specifically indicated that mine is vegetarian which is why it came with 2 gravies only. When you compare the two plates in the attached picture you could guess what had happened, they specifically tempered my dhal with fish curry to deliberately make me eat non vegetarian food. The moment I tasted the dhal, I knew it was tempered with fish curry. Another waiter was seen walking pass our table and was looking at my plate twice which clearly shows it was he who had deliberately tempered with my food. But since I was with my friend, I did not make a scene. I just wonder you praying more times a day can do this to others and get away with such a sin? How if you are a non pork eater and was deliberately served pork and you ate it? I guess it will be a news the next day with various protest and violence! It's only when one has self respect, will he know how to respect others. You are a disgrace to...
Read moreI visited Pelita Nasi Kandar for breakfast around 9 am, but I was disappointed to find that their nasi kandar dishes were not available yet. This limited our choices to typical breakfast options like Roti canai, nasi lemak, fried chicken, and a few others.

The drinks were nothing out of the ordinary, falling into the average category as well.
On the positive side, the service was attentive, and the restaurant was well-staffed. It was impressive to see how quickly they responded when you raised your hand for service.
Pelita Nasi Kandar is a well-known chain in Malaysia, but this particular branch appeared to be a bit underwhelming in terms of food quality. Hopefully, they can improve their offerings...

Beware !! They often give dishes that customer do not request but they claim "free"....actually the price of that item/dishes they secretly charges on your food...what happened to me they said they gave the papadom for free but after i re-calculate my food by myself, i found out they secretly include the "free" papadom to my nasi kandar....i dont even request the papadom....beside that, they often do not return 5 sen balance back to customer (but this time i got the 5 sen balance - perhaps someone already complain this issue to KPDNHEP)....before this, they often claim they cant return the 5 sen because they dont have the change....next, for me the food price is 2nd highest compare to other nasi kandar in sg petani....i never go to pelita ever again (or at least...
