This push cart frequented mostly by locals serving these nice delicacies was formerly located in front of Keat Hwa School. Now they have move to this place and there's proper seating to enjoy your food. First is their Assam Laksa, the soup taste like those good ones you find in Penang except this version doesn't have pineapple, prawn paste and soup is not fishy as in you get a lot of fish meat. It's mildly sweet, salty, moderately spicy and sour enough to keep you awake. Wow!! 😱 Assam Laksa fans, please try this. The noodles used here is a bit different, it's quite rice rich compared to Penang's version which has tapioca/glutinous flour added that gives it that clear and springy texture. Next is the Tumeric Glutinous Rice with Chicken Curry. Rice is perfectly cooked that it's not slimy or undercooked. The curry is the highlight here, chicken is well seasoned and taste perfect. Not too salty, it's thick but not too creamy. Ideal pairing with the rice. It's comfort food you'll enjoy. A must try. Cucur Udang is not bad but the chili sauce has a sourish kick to it. Maybe added lime? Lastly, the Bubur Cha Cha is so well prepared. It's sufficiently sweet, salty and fragrant from the coconut milk and pandan. Also nice. Overall a must come for the taste and value. BTW, the Nyonya Otak2 is also good. Pudding smooth like with Kafir Lime Leaves and...
Read more5 stars for their laksa compare to the other x2 famous stalls in Alor Setar. Their soup taste authentic. Fragrance enough. Their noodle slimmer.
2 stars for their Cendol, overall is super diluted, near to tasteless, fake cendol, only the brown sugar is fragrance. The waiter will ask u whether want 'ice' or 'ice blended' when u order cendol.
Their 'prawn fritter' is totally FAILED. Super hard like a stone, with kind of weird smell. Unable to consume at all. After tasted prawn fritter from many different place (Penang, Alor Setar, Taiping, KL), no one can beat Happy Ice Stall at Aulong, Taiping, Perak. They serving super addictive fresh prawn fritter. (Ah Heng 虾炸 Heir Ji - in Hokkian)
Don't have price list or menu here. RM43 in total for x1 dine in laksa, x4 take away laksa, x2 take away laksa (without vege), x1 cendol (ice blended). For x2 pcs Prawn Fritter they deduct out from RM47, befome RM43. (Means RM2 each for...
