2/5/24, Wednesday, 12.30pm:
After a year, went here again for lunch / birthday celebration. Things look finished and more organized. Order and pay at your table. For pasties and cakes, can order at counter.
Some food was ok.. some a bit oily for the liking but had to finished it off sbb x nak membazir.. 😂
The irish coffee with cream, despite putting remarks for less sugar.. still maneh wooo.. tunggu ais cair la bagi dilute sikit. Aglio oglio and what's the other one call.. i can't remember.. looks like spaghetti bolognese though.. well both were pretty spicy 🔥 the lemonade was a bit on the bitter side. The butter chicked was good 👍 Service is quite slow.. based on my observations of others.. for us.. laju sbb order cepat and awal 😆
Unsafe condition found near our table where the drain cover is sinking and could give way anytime.

April 2023: Went there on a Saturday, 12.15 pm.. with family. There were 7 of us. The place is nice.. unique.. although modification still in progress but all critical facilities are functioning, lights, toilets, sinki etc. The only thing i'm quite disappointed was 1 out of 3 dishes on the menu is not available. So choices are limited. The beef in the tortilla bread dish was good. So was the coffee. Price was a bit on the steep side. But i guess.. you are paying for the food plus the experience and ambiance. You pay first before you eat, which is a concept that i prefer in a restaurant. You went to the restaurant via a lift. I've seen a ladder inside but not sure how to use it. Maybe during emergency, it's good to have multiple exit points.

Read moreAmbiance: The cafe's ambiance receives top marks for its great atmosphere, but the journey to reach it might be a challenge. Finding parking can be a hassle and the need to navigate through a building to reach the upper level might lead to confusion. Once you settle in, though, the ambiance is likely to enhance your dining experience.
Pastries: While the pastries are acceptable, there's room for improvement. The lack of freshness is a downside and customers would appreciate daily freshly baked options. Some of the French pastries fall short, needing more butter and lacking the desired flakiness. Additionally, the noted dryness of the carrot cake is a disappointment.
Food: Where SULB Cafe shines is in its savoury offerings. The quesadillas and chicken pesto are highlighted as delicious, showcasing the cafe's prowess in delivering satisfying and flavourful meals. This positive aspect may compensate for any shortcomings in the pastry department.
Drinks: The pricing of drinks falls within the average range for hipster/aesthetic cafes. While there's no standout praise or criticism for the drinks, the affordability aligns with expectations for this type of establishment.
In conclusion, SULB Cafe presents a mixed experience. While the ambiance and savoury dishes are commendable, the pastry selection may leave some customers wanting. With a few adjustments to pastry freshness and quality, this cafe could elevate its...
Read moreThe dining experience is just ✨️unmatched✨️. The place was magnificent, breathtaking even. I was so impressed by the architecture and interior design. Everything is on brand and aesthetic. The owner did a great job with building and creating concept for this cafe. The food, some are great and some can do some more works but hey, there's always room for improvement. The food experience also lacks a little bit of consistency because I came to the cafe twice so far and ordered the same food but weirdly it doesn't taste quite the same between the two times I went there but this is just me being picky; of course for the price I paid😅. But overall I can give the food 8/10. It's good but can be improved in the future. Now the price. Admittedly this is obviously (just look at the pictures attached) a high end cafe providing customers not only the food but a whole another experience itself so don't expect some customers friendly price if you get what I mean. So nothing to be complained much about this. If you can afford it then you do you. If you don't, it's okay there's plenty other cafes and restaurants you can go and at the end of the day attends your hunger and needs really what that actually matters though. I definitely will come back here again and for you guys who read this review, I'd say give it a try and see it for yourself. And also to the management I hope previous incident won't happen again cuz you...
