I’ve been a regular customer at this mamak store for my daily breakfast. The food is ok among this areas, the prices are super reasonable, and the morning shift staff have always been polite, efficient, and professional, which is why I’ve enjoyed coming here every morning.
However, my experience during supper on 01/01/2025 at 11 PM was extremely disappointing. It was my first time coming here late, and I noticed that none of the staff on duty were familiar to me, as they were likely from the night shift. Despite there being many staff present, no one came to take my order until I called them several times.
I ordered limau ais, sirap ais, Maggie soup, Indo mee, and ikan goreng. When the drinks arrived, they were served in takeaway-style plastic packaging instead of the usual glass. Confused, I immediately asked the staff why this was the case, as I intended to drink there. The staff casually replied that it was “the same” and told me not to worry as the price difference would be minor, only RM0.40 extra per drink.
When I went to settle the bill, I was shocked to find that they refused to waive the extra charges for the drinks, despite me not requesting takeaway packaging. Here's the breakdown: Limau ais: RM2.40 → RM3.20 (bungkus price) Extra charge 80 sen Sirap ais: RM2.00 → RM2.60 (bungkus price) Extra charge 60se
On top of that, the Indo mee tasted awful, which I assume was due to a different cook at night. The overall food quality was poor.
This experience felt like blatant cheating. It’s not about the RM0.80 extra charge—it’s about the principle of honesty. If a customer didn’t request takeaway, why impose an unnecessary charge? To make matters worse, I observed that some customers were served drinks in normal glasses while others, like me, were charged the bungkus price. It seemed inconsistent and unfair.
Moral of the story: Always double-check your order and bill when dining here at night. The night shift staff and cashier lack professionalism and seem to exploit customers with unnecessary charges.
I hope the management addresses this issue promptly, as it reflects poorly on the business. Such dishonest practices are unacceptable and will drive loyal customers...
Read moreStumbled upon this store by accident and we didn’t regret it at all!
We walked past this corner shop many times and were surprised by its cleanliness.
They have a rather open concept nasi kandar station and you can see right into the kitchen and the place and floor is very very clean.
So we gave it a try despite its rather low rating and it didn’t disappoint us at all!
Also not to mention it’s reasonable price! Heres what we had:
And our total bill is rm30 only. Surprised and definitely will be returning for more!
Their staff is also very attentive & friendly. Came around dinner time around 7pm and it felt good. But it will probably be better if u sit outside / far from the nasi kandar as they make their roti etc nearby and the place can be quite hot eventhough there are lots of fan.
Other than that, we are very happy with our new nasi...
Read moreThis is a mamak restaurant. They serves indian muslim cuisine hybrid with local Malaysian dishes. This place is a very popular place to the locals. In Malaysian languange, we called it “tempat lepak”. Just like a bar for westerners to hang out. The best part is this place never close. So if you hungry in the late at night or early morning, you can come here. You can see people still hang out and eating at that hour (disclaimer: eating late at night is bad for your health). The most popular dish is of course roti canai. Just one reminder... dont expect much of good service because the waiter are...
