GAVE ME DIARRHEOA FOOD POISONING & MANAGER TRIED TO DISMISS/GASLIGHT ME WHEN I COMPLAINED. I came by 15/1 at 3.30pm-ish & ordered Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng. My meal was served at approximate temperatures of 30c including the inside of the chicken. The chicken was abysmal. The outside has hardened as if it was previously cooked then refried 2-4 hours ago. I wolfed it down as its the only meal I've had all day as I was fasting. 4.30pm - 5pm arrived and that's when disaster struck. Torrents and waves of waste matters were threatening to expel from my bowels as I drove back fast & furious style home.
Called the Manager at 5.30pm to inform him of poor food safety practices. Man is the epitome of masterclass in customer service (just not on planet Earth). Not only sounding disinterested and sheepish; He asked me have I seen a doctor? No sir, I'm preoccupied; Dropping Hiroshima-style explosions in my toilet. Then he said he can't verify if I truly had food poisoning from him. No, I've only had 1 meal today. He said nobody else had this issue or complaint but a quick check showed it literally happened 3 months ago to another poor unsuspecting victim of this establishment. Meanwhile the Manager tried so hard to gaslight me it was as if petrol turun harga already. Then he offered a discount next time I go there. I feel like he's trying to kill me and he thinks I'm stupid enough to go for it. I told him I'm not interested to which he responded: thank you have a nice day and hung up on me. Now I realised, I should have taken him on the offer so I can drop a second bomb all over the bathroom floor. Maybe get creative and use my liquid bowel wastes as ink to write: YOUR FOOD GAVE ME FOOD POISONING. 5 stars across the board. Food to die for and out-of-this world customer service... As in customer service thats only acceptable if we are in planet Uranus and explosive diarrheas...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen I first came back when it first opened, the service, foods and ambience were 5/5. I even recommended my friends to come to this branch because the foods are better compared to other Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock branches out there (yes Iāve tried most of it).
I last came to AMAH WM on Sunday 6th April 2025, for breakfast around 10.15am. I can sense that there is a major issue on the management because there were only 4 waitresses who multitasked between becoming the cashier, making the drinks and also waitressing. They were running around.
40% of the menu was not available. The most important ingredient for a kopitiam ā eggs ā was also not available.
However despite these shortfalls, the waitresses were doing their best to serve the customers. The lady in gray (I assume sheās a senior because sheās the only one who can be the cashier) was multitasking between making drinks, being the cashier and delivering foods; and still be able to smile at me at the counter. Hence the 5/5 stars on the foods & service in this review.
However, the atmosphere ā despite being clean and accommodative to all sorts of customers ā fell a little short because there was an obvious management issue on the staffing.
To the management, please donāt bully your staff this way. Your staff are amazing and your foods are still top notch although only 4 people were running around in front for a busy Sunday like just now.
Customers like me would return again and again over time for your foodsā quality & consistency. If this management issue was fixed, I believe that AMAH Kopitiam particularly for this branch is able to sustain for...
Ā Ā Ā Read morenostalgic comfort food, offering dishes from Malay, Chinese, and Indian traditions in a classic kopitiam (coffee shop) setting. While some reviews highlight the flavorful nasi lemak ayam berempah, Nyonya Laksa, and Mee Goreng, others note inconsistencies with the Nasi Lemak rice and chicken, and occasional issues with service, especially during busy periods. The restaurant's authenticity and comfortable atmosphere are generally praised, making it a beloved spot for a true taste of Malaysia.. 2025 awarded sell the most nasi lemak in Malaysia.
tried Nasi Lemak with fried chicken (RM6.80) during malaysia day promo is always a good idea here and I find the one in this outlet tastier compared to the one in Village Park. The fried chicken is done better where the batter didnāt separate from the meat so you get the crunch as well as the juicy tenderness of the chicken. Now upgraded to premium basmati rice.
I felt that the chicken was over-fried and oilier than Village Park. Overall, though itās still a decent plate of nasi lemak ayam goreng, I probably will never visit again, since itās not as good and pricier normal princr RM 13.90 and rice portion...
