Burger & Sushi — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Harassed / Disrespected by owner and overpriced. I used to come to this restaurant everyday because its overpriced which keeps away the crowds. One day, I brought my business friends for a quiet lunch so we could chat. That day the male owner came to our table to ask how it was. Once he found out I was from country XYZ, he started to disrespect XYZ and laughing thinking it was funny. He then wouldn’t stop talking to my Malaysian friends who were annoyed at this point because he wouldn't shut up. He wouldn’t stop talking and kept bothering us. The owner simply would not leave and kept harassing us. The irony is that after disrespecting the my friends and I, the female owner came over, smiled and said, “I need your business.” The only quality of this restaurant was that it was overpriced which made it less crowded and more quiet. But because the food was average and overpriced, after this incident I simply just walked to another restaurant on the same floor. Now the only memory I have of this restaurant was the male owner disrespecting my homeland and grinning, and harassing my Malay friends. Had dinner with my mom here out of curiosity last week. The ambiance was cozy and felt very welcoming, the waiter who served us was very nice to walk us through the menu and recommend the best dishes for us.

I got myself the steak hamburger rice which for me was a 7/10⭐️. The black pepper (?) sauce tasted nice though and the steak was so-so. It’s just that the simple meal was overpriced for me.

Then i ordered the chicken mayo sushi because obviously it’s a sushi restaurant. I loved the crispiness of the chicken in the rice though i expected it to be soggy. However i believe that they should add more than one dash of mayo sauce because it’s a mayo dish? 8/10 ⭐️

My mom on the other hand ordered their chicken teriyaki dish and the portion looked a bit small to me. Well nothing can go wrong with few slices of chicken but the sauce is a bit bland.

I loved that every meal included a moderate amount of fresh salad which i think compensated a bit to their expensive price. And the beverages are nice too; i had green tea in which they provided me a small japanese cup (?) and a teapot of piping hot green tea, my mom had...

Everyone was really friendly from the moment we walked in. The hostess who took our order made good recommendations. Ordered the Breakfast Burger for myself, while my boyfriend ordered the Spicy Chicken Burger, and we ordered a plate of Mentai Sushi to share.

My burger was literally breakfast in a burger; it had chicken ham, beef bacon, a fried egg AND avocado slices (FAV!). The portion was huge - prepare to be stuffed. The burger came with fries in this cute little deep-frying basket.

We got our sushi fix with the Mentai Sushi, made up of tuna, yellowtail and salmon sushi, cooked with rich mentai sauce. Take a moment to savour each bite. Totally worth it.

Our drinks came with metal straws; I applaud the restaurant's effort to be more sustainable.
