Bad bad bad experience on the Valentine's dinner

Lousy food, the main course like food court standard, portion is small, the rice hard like rice bran, red wine served with water glass，food served with disposable tableware, when there are strong wind, the tableware was flew out, not romantic at all, some of them attend with proper fine dining wear, man with coat, lady with nice dress, I'm sure they are shocking with the arrangement

Environment looks like food court (my hubby said like townhall), i think more than 100 couples fit in the rooftop outdoor area, "people mountain people sea", hard to walk thru from table to photo spot to take picture, even the distance between table only one 30cm ruler distance, you will shy to talk sweet with your honey, my session is 6.30-8.30pm, omg, hot sun heat up the place, sunglasess is needed on that time, ha, how you will feel romantic in such condition? Even more worst for couple who attend for 8.30pm session, 100++ couple need to hold at small tiny waiting area, I would said how frustrated they are.

service is bad, my hubby do reservation with advance payment and pre-order the flower bouquet from the organizer, we do advance payment because they said they will pre arrange better seat for us and my hubby assume the flower bouquet will well arrange on the table and this is the suprise he prepare for me, well at the end, no suprise at all, end up with bad experience, when we are there, all nice seat occupy, when we ask for that, they broke the promise, they said just choose whatever seat available, no pre arrange seat, and the flower bouquet have to collect our self at counter, after dining, the casher come to us ask for payment, WHAT? omg, such a bad arrangment and disorganized. beside, when we want to order extra ala carte food, they ask us go to cashier counter order the food and when the food ready, the beeper will ring, we need to collect food ourself at counter, all self service, are you familiar with this food court scene? and the waiter work there are not well in english speaking, when we ask more details about the menu, when they serve the wrong dish, when we request extra service, the waiter can't understand what we talking about, he go & back to us for few ways just to answer me one question.

em......lastly, i would said..... the worst service, worst food, worst environment i never experience before (proper dining restaurant), my last comment, if Hallaway can't cope and no experience to organize this kind of event, pls dont do so.... you spoilt your name yourself, if you really want it, then pls do whatever you can, one chinese proveb suit to you: 没那么大的头就别戴那么大的帽子

*Even 1 star i don't want to rate for Hallaway, the 1 star is rate for the dessert-coconut with mango puree coated with white chocalate, taste ok...

We came at 11pm..The staff here are well arranged, but they are completely unprofessional. We ordered drinks from the menu, and after waiting for 15 minutes, we asked the same waiter if the drinks had come? The waiter had already placed the order. After another 15 minutes, we changed to another waiter and asked if the drinks had not come yet? Finally the waiter asked us what we ordered? Ask if we have a receipt? Later I realized that after you place an order, they will immediately charge you with the receipt before ordering. The first problem was that the first waiter did not place an order with us at all. This was simply outrageous. In my experience, drinks should be prepared as quickly as possible. But the waiting time is too long... I thought you were making a homemade drink

I also saw the gentleman here wearing a slipper and shorts. If you like a comfortable and free bar, you can come. The environment and location are good.

They also have a meal menu here, but it's a lot different from the ABC counters. Waiter A is in charge of Menu A, and Waiter B is only in charge of Menu B. But each of them comes over to ask questions and show you the menu... being asked 10 times is very unappetizing. About the food..They will give you an alarm when you finish placing your food order. When the alarm went off, I reminded the waiter that the meal was ready. But the waiter asked me to get it myself.... It feels like a food court for a moment… after the waiter kindly helped me get it.

We asked the waiter C to order shisha at 1am.. Then we waited for 20 minutes. No order was placed again. When we changed the waiter and ordered again, the waiter told us that this shisha was only available until 1.20am and had been closed. I was very angry. It was already closed. Why didn't to inform us the waiter just now?

And the music is totally blasting EDM songs, not Ambient Music.

Plus a sudden power outage..we just left.

If you have a lot of time and are waiting patiently, your order will not be placed until the end and you will need to order a few more times before it comes... You can come and experience it.

My friends and I will never come again at Hallaway.. Very...

The rooftop dining offers excellent ambience. There's great views of the KL Skyline. Very crowded. Hallway is nothing but a "high end" gloried food court on a rooftop. Food is ordered from the various food stalls. Totally self service. I rate the food 2 star only.

We ordered 3 servings of western grilled foods amounting to RM80, which were disappointing. The meats were chewy and fatty.

All foods were served on cheap paper plates with plastic spoons and forks. Plastic knives not included or needed as the meats were already cut into strips. A very cheap take on fine dining.

The beef soup udon costs RM18 and came in a paper bowl. 1.5lt Lemonade tower (which is actually 7-Up) and a peppermint tea costs RM36. We finished the evening with a small paper bowl of fries which costs RM10.

For a family of 4 total we spent RM144 including drinks without any beer or liquor. Parking is plentiful and great and the charge is a reasonable RM3.

In the end the view was really great. Not many dining establishments offer such a great panoramic view of the city skyline. I would rate the view as 5 stars.
