We decided to have breakfast at this charming spot on a Monday morning and were pleasantly surprised to find a convenient parking spot along the main road. This small, open-air restaurant specialises in serving noodles and kopitiam-style items like toast, soft-boiled eggs, and beverages. As soon as we sat down, our orders were promptly taken care of. Despite the restaurant's age, it maintains a clean and airy atmosphere. It's a family-owned business, and we were delighted to see that the family members were both cooking and serving, rather than relying solely on foreign staff.
For our meal, we ordered Yee Mee Soup, Loh Yee Mee, and Hainan Coffee. To our delight, everything was excellent. The noodle broth was flavourful, the Loh Yee Mee had a light colour (not dark), and they were generous with the pork slices. The Hainan coffee also hit the spot. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. Our total bill came to RM19.50 for two people. The only minor disappointment was their limited supply of chillies, and they didn't have the type of sambal typically served with Pan Mee. Overall, the food and drinks were quite satisfying, and we look forward to returning to try other items from the menu.
While none of the staff wore face masks, head coverings, or gloves, the ladies had neatly tied up their hair, and those involved in cooking focused solely on that task without handling other items. The individuals serving and handling payments didn't assist with cooking, which made us feel comfortable. One particular lady even frequently sanitised her hands, which left us quite satisfied with the hygiene...
Read moreA very humble- simple kopitiam run by a family. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I had a bowl of pork noodles and a cup of small coffee for RM10.90. Is RARE to get such a price in Kepong area. Is not the typical rich in flavour pork noodle with all kind of meat cut. This is a homely simple pork noodles that warms a lonely soul trying to make a living in a busy city. Nothing fancy, a good amount of meat slices and green vege. Lean meat has no foul piggy- taste and has tenderly soft texture. Soup is sweet with a very faint hint of umami flavour. I finished the entire soup leaving nothing behind and I do not feel thirsty afterward. Ill definitely be back to try their toast bread and curry- apparently is sold out...
Read moreHot "Cham" Coffee/Tea mix and Hot Coffee taste up to my expectation.
Curry Noodle was served with generous amount of "Char Siew" (BBQ Pork), curry soup has coconut milk aroma, not diluted and not too salty.
Dry Curry Pan Mee was my personal favorite, chicken meat was tender and the taste was elevated with the crispy fried shallots.
Grilled Hainanese Style Bread "Roti Bakar" with Kaya & Butter not creamy enough but still taste good.
Although it's not an a air-conditioned "kopitiam", it was not warm to dine-in at 10:30 am.
Will go there again to try their "Loh Mee" and...
