This has to be one of the best fish head noodles I have tasted. The fish broth is rich, thick and creamy plus the wine is not too strong. It also comes with generous portions of preserved mustard leaves and tomato. The soup is slightly tangy and it goes well to balance out the creaminess.
The garoupa fish pieces are also well fried and have a good balance of bones and fleshy pieces. The batter coating is light but it was still a bit crunchy when it first arrived.
Last but not least, the chili sauce that accompanied it seemed like home made and was delicious.
The other item we ordered was the fried spring rolls. The pork filling is well marinated and fragrant. The fried fuchook skin was crispy. Overall, I consider it a must try.
The shop itself is bright, clean and airy, and the lady boss is very friendly.
However, it must be noted that the next door shop is a casket shop so if you are the superstitious type, this might be an...
Read moreLocated at the main road Jalan Kepong (same row of Tackle Kepong). Parking in front of shop is very limited. But there is an open car park at the back with a sign (park at your own risk). Restaurant run by husband and wife. There’s 11 dishes to choose. Went twice and ordered the same dish (fish noodles). I can swear that this is the best fish head noodles I have ever tried so far! The broth is thick and fish is fresh. RM 17 per bowl but definitely you’re happy to pay it. Wanted to try the curry loh mee but sold out before 5pm. I assumed it is good. Will come back next time for that. Each bowl you may need to wait for 15-20 mins. So you really need to be patient but guaranteed it worth to wait. A small plate will be given for you to put your fish bone. Environment is clean and homey type with good air ventilation. Definitely support and will recommend...
Read moreDon't come in a large group with more than 5 people: no big table, can't combine and she can't handle (only 1 worker which I believe is the female boss).
Not kid-friendly: The whole shop has only 1 high chair and 1 plastic bowl. We came with 10 people with kids, stacked up the chairs for kids but the boss advised us not to use up all the chairs in her shop as her shop is very small, she mentioned. So, expect us to let our kids stand to eat 😭 She also scolded kids who touched her tooth picks on the table and walked around.
Wanted to leave but they were all too lazy to change place, so I have to be thick face to use up her chairs 😔
Food: All very salty including the fish balls. Not healthy especially for kids. Only a few choices of noodles. Lo bak is quite pricey for the quality.
Overall, terribly sad for this...
