Feeling the heat burning your face and shoulders in the afternoon? And happen to be near Kepong Pasar? Well, you're in luck! This hawker stall located inside a shop lot offers a range of "cooling" desserts just to quench your thirst on a very hot, sunburned day. Run by a very stout, loud but good natured auntie, she takes your orders and barks at her staff to prepare them. The shape of their iced desserts are like a plastic container turned upside down. That's it! They pack shaved ice into a plastic container, and turn it upside down to dislodge the ice and walla! The ice is thus shaped! Then, red beans, syrup, canned corn are piled in top, making it look horribly unbalanced and they bring it to your table. The cons of this shape is when the ice melts, the condiments come crashing down and out of your dish. They do not provide straws either for you to suck the melting ice. But anyway, if you're ok at making a mess of your hands, your clothes and the table, do drop by this stall. They have a good variety, the portions are generous and...

The curry noodle is one of my favorite and Iām a regular. In July or August last year, their price went from 10 to 11 for a large bowl. Thatās a 10% increase! Itās good so I donāt mind paying for that.
But my last visit after CNY recently, they increase their price again and this time itās 12 per large bowl of curry noodle. The price has gone up two times in less than a year!
Thatās 20% price hike and I think itās ridiculous for a roadside hawker stall where the rent is suppose to be cheap. It does not justify such exorbitant hike.
It only goes to show the stall owner donāt care about the consumer to the point I felt this is just greedy!
I know they will continue to have loyal customers and I donāt think I will return again to support such business. They are contributing to inflation.
The ice kacang is ok. Only that Iām very skeptical with the cleanliness of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis shop consists of two shoplots and it is in a messy area. Near morning market and they have so many food stalls on the street in front of the shop. Tried the curry noodles and loh mee (braised noodle). Both were average. RM11 per bowl with si ham, fish cakes, bean curd, bean sprouts and sweetish char siu. Consistency of the curry was okay. The loh mee was slightly salty for me. It tasted better with a dash of black vinegar and sambal chillie. The dessert menu was crazy...so many varieties. I ordered the ice kacang and it was good. Portion was good for 2 pax. Fresh ingredients, especially the peanuts. Brown syrup was thick and gluey. The fried rice cake shop started as we were leaving. They have quite a few varieties. Who can resist fried rice cake sandwiched between yam and sweet potatoes. It was not too sweet, crispy on the outside and gluey on the...
