McDonald's Wangsa Maju Section 05 DT — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

I would like to highlight my disappointing experience at your drive-thru on 27th September around 2.30pm.

I placed two separate orders via the app and requested drive-thru pickup: • First order: 4 Happy Meals and 1 burger • Second order: 2 large fries

At the ordering machine, I clearly mentioned both order numbers and the cashier confirmed. However, upon reaching the cashier, I was only given one receipt. When I asked about the second order, only then the cashier reprinted the fries receipt. This shows a lack of alertness and attention to detail from the cashier.

Next, instead of packing the Happy Meals individually with toys (as they should be for children), all burgers were dumped into one box, fries separated, and chili sauce was given instead of ketchup. The purpose of Happy Meals is primarily for children, and the toys are part of the value and experience. This mistake led to unnecessary customer frustration which could have been avoided with proper care at the counter.

When I returned to clarify, the young male staff at the counter handled me with calmness and respect. I truly appreciate his professionalism and patience. However, the staff who were actually responsible for the drive-thru order were visibly rude, avoided responsibility and never came forward to apologize. One even instructed the junior staff to apologize on their behalf - after i shouted “ no even one person say sorry to me ?” . This is unacceptable behavior, especially coming from senior staff who should be role models in customer service.

Finally, a manager came forward and handled the situation politely and professionally, and I did apologize for raising my voice.

My feedback and request: • Please train your staff (especially senior ones) on basic manners, accountability, and the importance of an apology when mistakes happen. • Ensure Happy Meals are packed correctly with toys and the right condiments, without customers having to double-check. • Professionalism and sincerity are key in customer service — cutting corners will only damage McDonald’s brand further.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously and improvements are made. As a loyal customer, I want to continue supporting McDonald’s, but respect and sincerity from staff are...

Had several minor unpleasant experiences with this outlet's service quality in the past but was cutting the crew some slack since its a newly opened outlet.

However, today was the worst experience I had with their drive-thru service. No one told me I had to wait for some time to get my food while I was ordering. Then when I proceeded to the collection area, a staff told me to wait at one of the dedicated parking area. The time printed on my receipt was 8.57am and I waited for almost 30mins before I managed to collect what I have ordered. I was only able to collect them because I went down and confronted the staff member.

What's even worse is the fact after instructing me to wait at a side while the crew prepare my orders, somehow, drive-thru customers who came after me were able to collect their orders immediately without having to wait. And when I confronted the staff, thet were like: "ohh, you're from parking slot no.2? Sorry... Lambat. Let me prepare your order now". The staff didn't even bothered why I had to wait 30mins.

To whoever that is managing this outlet: If you need your drive-thru customers to get off their cars just so they can remind you and expediate their orders , you need to reflect upon the service quality that you are exhibiting. Shame on you for calling yourself a fast...
