From other reviewers, this shop has been around for 40 years. The dried wanton mee taste is in deed authentic, traditionally salty instead of sweet taste 👍👍👍👍. For those who dont like sweet version of dried wanton mee may like this. The roast pork (charsiew) texture is more to the dry side near to jerky. Personally i prefer the glass charsiew version 👍👍.

The soup base is clear but very lightly taste. I prefer the soup to be tastier 😝

The stewed chicken feet with black mushroom is with cinnemon and clove herbs hints. The mushroom is of good quality 👍👍👍👍👍. The chicken feet texture is puffy and not too soft. I would prefer it to be softer 👍👍.

The prawn dumpling (sui kow) is the highlight for me 👍👍👍👍👍. Prawn is crunch and the pork filling is fresh.

The milked tea (teh c) can be improved with using higher quality or better tea leaf...🤭

Overall is...

Many customers ordered the 干捞云吞面 but I chose the wonton noodle soup version to see if the noodle is really fresh and taste good. It indeed an excellent wonton noodles by itself without the soy sauce, dark soy sauce and sesame oil. I will come back for the 干捞。

The char Siew is excellent which is tender. Kopi O Kosong is another plus point (just right taste of traditional kopi in Chinese kopitiam). Nowadays many kopitiam keep soaking the coffee beans until the coffee is not having much taste but look black, sweet and caffeine overpowering (caffeine will be more if coffee beans soaked in the water for a long time).

I like the shop as it is clean. I was served by a man and a lady and they were friendly and polite.

I asked for curry chicken and being told that it is available only...

Strongly recommended for those who values & treasures authentic taste. Environment wise,might not be the ideal fusion restaurants you found in klcc or pavilion & etc. Hygienic conscious buddy who has the habit of heading restroom while having meal,you might want to advise them using the restroom by the saloon next door. Otherwise,they'll start cursing until next year Deepawali though......yet,they finish whatever dishes served to them. Strictly meant for those who craves quality & authenticity only.

My liking line-up as below ;

  1. Dumpling - my 1st choice ( Rare & precious )
  2. Economy Rice - those who missed their hometown grandmum's cook or taste ( Rare & precious too )
  3. BBQ Pork Noodles - Char Siew Wan Tan Mee
  4. Roasted Pork &...

Finding parking can be a real challenge around here, especially in the mornings when the Pasar Pagi is in full swing. That's why we prefer coming on Mondays when the market is closed. The kopitiam is quite old but surprisingly clean. We ordered Wantan Mee with Steamed Chicken, Wantan Mee with Mushroom & Chicken Feet, and four pieces of Dumplings, which set us back RM32.20. The price feels a bit steep considering the portion size and the overall ambience. The Wantan Mee noodles are delightful, perfectly al-dente, and the sauce is just right. The Wantan and Dumplings also hit the mark. However, the Steamed Chicken is a bit bland and slightly undercooked. The Mushroom with Chicken is passable. All in all, the food is decent.
