Alright so here’s the thing, we were nearby this shop thinking to give them a chance since they seemed like a little cute shop that located in the middle of a neighbourhood(kepong maluri). Well the prices overall are the same like normal Japanese restaurant that could literally afford a toilet(which they don’t), that did not affect me; however here’s come the worst part, we ordered 2 sets, one pork one fish, it was a simple request to get the wasabi to eat with the fish or rice like normal Japanese restaurants do and there’s also a customer requested it. The staff/boss woman responded very unprofessional and rude, and said we can’t have it like them because our menu doesn’t includes the wasabi, but I said isn’t it normal to request condiments in a restaurant, she responded that they’re not an “ordinary shop”, they’re a Japanese shop with a Japanese chef unlike the usual Kopitiam. I told her even normal Japanese restaurant would provide it if we want, she said well cuz that’s a sushi shop, dude Japanese ramen shops have it even they don’t sell sushi, and hello this is MALAYSIA, plus in KEPONG, she literally thinks she’s in 5 stars Tokyo/or whatever city centre’s restaurant? A friendly advice: you guys located in Kepong, Maluri and literally a little shop that could require support from the people like us, but as a new customer we feel you were acting so arrogant and bias towards your own world about the Japanese culture, wake up you’re in the service industry, do and...

If you want to experience a truly Japanese izakaya, Sumitaro is the one you are looking for.
*Hope not too many people know this izakaya as really limited seat during...
