As a long-time loyal customer of Pizza Hut, I want to share a recent disappointing experience I had at your Sri Petaling branch. On August 13, 2023, I visited your restaurant for lunch with the intention of redeeming the state election promotion. However, I was faced with a malfunctioning payment system, I cannot using any other form of payment. While I understand that technical issues can arise, what truly disappointed and angered me was the apparent lack of preparedness from your operation team.
This is how things happen at that time. The cashier informed me that my e-wallet couldn't be used due to payment system problems, and they could only accept cash payments. Consequently, I had to leave and go to the nearby ATM to withdraw cash before returning to the restaurant in hopes of placing my order. sri petaling is well known for the heavy traffic and very hard to find parking Unfortunately, to my dismay, upon my return, I was informed that the system down and they were unable to process any orders. “System down, take boleh order” The waiter one sentence settle this problem. I was left feeling upset and bewildered by how this situation was handled.
As a prominent fast-food brand and one of the top brand in Malaysia, my expectations for Pizza Hut are high. However, this experience left me disappointed with the level of operation and customer service provided. I believe that as a successful brand, you should have contingency plans in place to deal with technical issues and ensure customers aren't left stranded due to technical failures. It's difficult to comprehend that a brand of your stature wasn't adequately prepared to handle such an emergency.
I've dined at your various locations multiple times and have even encountered less-than-pleasant experiences in the past. Despite this, I've continued to support Pizza Hut because I enjoy your food and believe in your potential for improvement. Nevertheless, this incident has made me question the quality of your operation and service. As a well-established chain, you should be experienced in handling technical issues and unexpected situations. There should be backup plans in place to guarantee customers receive excellent service under all circumstances.
