I had the pleasure of dining at Sushi Hiro today, and it was an experience that left a lasting impression. From the moment I stepped inside, the ambience immediately caught my attention. I am a regular customer of Sushi Hiro Sri Petaling, but my visit today had given me a very unpleasant experience! When I entered the shop, I was not welcomed by the staff. The regular guy was not in today maybe because of CNY. I had to entertain myself, looking for the menu to order, go to the counter and pay (not to mention that I saw the staff entertained another guest and bring the receipt to them instead of going to counter to pay). Long story short, I've ordered takeaway sushi (invoice no. 518636) with remarks to ensure that the salmons are fully cooked because my wife is pregnant and can't eat uncooked salmon. Supposed to wait for 15-20 mins but took longer to prepare my meal. The staff requested for my receipt without properly asked me, then gave me my food later on without a proper thank you or at least a simple thank you gesture. I went back home and the salmons on 4 pieces of salmon mayo maki were not fully cooked. I gave them a call to make a complaint, they requested for my address to give replacement but I rejected their offer. I will not recommend this place to my friends and family!...

Someone told me this is a direct competitor of sushi mentai but I can conclude they're still a long way to beat them The interior design of sushi Hiro is definitely a step above sushi mentai Food prices are more or less the same, sushi Hiro has more choice than sushi mentai Sushi prices sushi mentai wins. Sushi mentai is RM1.8 and RM2.8 while Sushi Hiro is RM2.3 and RM3.3 Green tea here is RM2 while sushi mentai is RM1 Both are refillable but I noticed that they will give you a jug if you ordered cold, they don't give you a thermos if you ordered hot(you have to keep asking the staff to refill) I can't say about their other branches but the chair in this branch is very upright like there is no lean, it's directly 90 degree angle Now let go to portion size, portion size here is a massive difference than sushi mentai, sushi mentai give their customer way more for the same price(picture attached is from sushi mentai) Overall I'd say there's still some journey before they can catch up with...
