KL Hokkien Mee (Small, 1 Pax) = RM12.00 SST 6% = RM0.68
This is located in an Area that seems to be Focused on F&B. It is a Big Kopitiam that takes up 2 Shoplots. Although not Super Crowded until Full House type of Situation at 6.30pm on a Saturday, there are still a Steady Stream of Customers as I observed.
The Restaurant itself is actually a Tze Char Place. Not Air-Conditioned but still relatively Airy and Comfortable. Most of the Staffs here are Myanmar Folks who are Friendly, Polite and mostly keep to themselves.
Interestingly, unlike the Regular "Noodle-Type" of KL Hokkien Mee that we see, they seem to have many Different Variations of Carbs used instead of the Classic Thick Thick Noodles that you'd expect. It was interesting to see that they offered a Beehoon Variation here.
I ordered the Classic Standard Thick Thick Noodles type though which was served up in 6 Mins.
KL Hokkien Mee (Small, 1 Pax) = RM12.00

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
Hahaha, so apparently KL Hokkien Mee in KL, at least from this Eatery is sold Kosong, Plain and Empty without Ingredients unlike the KL Hokkien Mee that we see in JB or Singapore which is a More Fully-Featured Dish.
I'm not sure if this is the case for other Eateries in KL but this is at least the Situation here for this Eatery.
As such, the Price of RM12.00 (S$3.70) I don't feel is worth the money because what you're essentially getting is just Noodle Carbs and Nothing Else. To be fair though, the Amount of Noodles you get is quite alot and is meant for 2 People despite the "Small" that I ordered.
As for Taste Quality, I'll admit, KL Hokkien Mee is not something I eat regularly because obviously its not the Healthiest Thing in the World to eat often. So I can't really judge the Quality for this one. For me, this taste Decent but it also taste like any other Decent Quality KL Hokkien Mee out there.
Now as I mentioned, I really don't know if KL Hokkien Mee are all sold like this Kosong as a Blank Carb Canvas in KL or if it is only this specific Eatery, so you might want to take note of this before you land in an Amusing 搞笑 SItuation like me.
As for this Place, I really have no further comments since I did not try their other Dishes. From what I can see though, it is Relatively Popular for the Local Folks from what I observed and Business is Brisk. I have no issues with their Customer Service tbh.
If you are ok that the KL Hokkien Mee here is sold Kosong and is Basically a Blank Carb Canvas, and you are ok to order more Dishes to pair with it, this is still an Eatery that you can consider to visit if you're nearby the Area.

Read moreGreat place for hokkien mee. Love they also have other items on their menu like their incredible chicken wings and lala, and not just a noodle 大炒 shop. Service is incredibly slow though which is the major downside and my guess for the low rating. Make sure you order everything in one shot at the beginning/when you sit down. We were warned that if we wanted to add any dishes later or order more food later it will be another long wait. If you order tea, it's all self-service for hot water.
No frills food. Straight to the point. Atmosphere is busy and loud. We sat at their second "newer"/brighter looking shoplot (not the corner one) and the appearance is questionable.. Looks bright and clean on first impression when you arrive, but I did see a small cockroach crawling under our table. So that was a big turn-off.
Food tastes good though and is made at their kitchen shoplot, not the one I was seated/dining at so... I don't know what to do but rate 5/5 for the food, 2/5 for service, and 1/5 for atmosphere.
I really think if this place wasn't so arrogant about their service and was more attentive to their customers and their cleanliness, perhaps their rating...
Read moreGotta be early at this place coz it gets really packed by 7pm and parking is a nightmare as there are many popular chinese restaurants all along this row. The hokkien mee was alright but what was most dissapointing was the lack of ingredients in it. For size two person, it came with only 2 miserable tiny prawns, bits of pork, tiny bits of cabbage and choy som.. it was real miserable. The crispy pork lard was fresh and ..crispy. That's about it. We ordered a single size hokkien kway teow and it had one miserable prawn. Shocking. What I really enjoyed was the steam wine lala. The broth was tasty, loaded with ginger and spring onion. I drank all the broth though the lala was a bit over cooked so it was bit rubbery. Fried rice was mediocre though it was well fried giving it the good wok hae smell and aroma. Taste wise was alright. Guess I won't be back as there are many great...
