As a long-time loyal customer of BRJ, I've always enjoyed their shawarma and other dishes like roti canai, nasi kandar, and tandoori. However, over the past few months, I've noticed a gradual decline in the quality of the food, which has been quite disappointing.

The shawarma, which used to be perfectly balanced in flavor, has become unbearably spicy. The excessive marination has overwhelmed the natural taste of the chicken, making it feel like I'm eating chili rather than enjoying the subtle, savory flavors that I once loved. In the past, BRJ offered a shawarma that was just right, with the option to add spice through sauces if desired. Now, the dish seems to cater only to those with a high tolerance for heat, completely disregarding the preferences of customers like myself.

I also observed similar issues with other menu items. The roti canai, which used to be soft and flaky, has become tough and greasy. The nasi kandar lacks the rich, aromatic spices that made it so enjoyable, and the tandoori, once juicy and tender, is now dry and flavorless.

In an attempt to provide constructive feedback, I approached the staff during my last visit. Unfortunately, the language barrier made it nearly impossible to communicate my concerns, as they were unable to understand either English or Malay. This lack of communication further exacerbates the frustration, as it seems there's no avenue for loyal customers to voice their dissatisfaction or help improve the situation.

BRJ has been a favorite of mine for a long time, and it's disheartening to see such a sharp decline in the quality of both the food and the service. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works to restore the standard that once made BRJ a go-to...

Terrible experience with SBRJ. I ordered 2 roti telur eating in and 4 take away. The 2 roti telur came and after finished eating about after 30 minutes the take away was not ready. Asked about the order from the same waiter and was told he forgot to key in the take away order. He promised to prepare it immediately. Waited patiently for another 20 minutes. When it was ready and I was about to pay I discovered they had packed 4 roti kosong instead!! What a mess!! Complained to the counter and again was promised he will do it immediately..again had to wait for another 15 minutes for them to prepare but it was not ready!!! In the end I had to go to the roti kitchen and scolded them and demanded for it immediately.... finally I got what I ordered for. Nearly 1 hour just to wait for roti telur take away!!! Great mamak that serves a variety of food with excellent service! Food arrives quick and it is affordably priced for a mamak. Would recommend trying their Nasi goreng Padprik, sup kambing and roti pisang. During the football season, it is a fullhouse! BRJ has a projector screening of live football matches. Generally, it is more crowded at night. They also have shisha available! What more could you ask for at a mamak? Great place to hang out with family and friends. Ample FREE parking spots right next to BRJ. They also have WiFi for those of you who wish to browse the net while sipping on your teh tarik. Just ask any of the waiters for their wifi password. The waiters speak Bahasa, Tamil and they do understand basic English. It is a good place for foreigners to experience our malaysian Mamak...
