Serdang Home Cook Restaurant: A Feast for the Senses

Serdang Home Cook Restaurant recently hosted our group of six for a memorable dinner. While we were initially drawn to the restaurant for its traditional Chinese cuisine, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of dishes on offer.

We started our meal with a bowl of artificial shark fin soup, which was surprisingly flavorful and satisfying. The Buddha jump over the wall, though not as impressive as the real thing, was still a delicious and hearty dish. However, it was the special sweet sour pork, served in a rattan basket with crushed ice, that truly stole the show. The unique presentation and tangy flavor made it a standout dish of the night.

Other highlights of our meal included the tender and flavorful braised mutton, the crispy and spicy deep fried frogs, the refreshing lotus root with celery and sweet peas, and the creamy and delicious homemade bean curd with crab meat.

To top off our meal, the restaurant treated us to a complimentary mango pudding, which was the perfect sweet ending to a wonderful dining experience.

Super bad service. Due to CNY period the staff told us need to wait at least 1hr and don'tallow to order fried food because the staff claimed that it will take longer time to cook. We have only 3 ppl with a kid so we had ordered 3 dishes. After 10mins there was another group of abt 10 ppl walk in sit beside us and start order. The staff told the same to them need to wait at least 1hr. After waited for 1hr+ the dishes were served to the next table but not us, their dishes are CNY set! If you are not willing to serve small table customer pls don't do at all, it was really wasting ppl time and spoilt our mood. Besides that, we were feel so cold ang hungry. We were sitting in indoor table which cool like chiller, but outdoor table is full of cigarette smell! Really worst chinese restaurant! Actually their food is so so only and not cheap, not...

We made a mistake on the date and tried to cancel. But they won't allow refund of deposit. Things got heated up. But the lady was so calm and patient, convinced us to stay and wait (she said an hour plus because many reservations that night!) What to do, we stayed, but to our surprise, the food all came out in less than half hour. Maybe because other reservations didn't arrive on time. The lady also kept coming back to check on us.
