One of the best experiences we had during our brief stay in KL. My husband and I visited just a week ago. We visited the separate 'cat' area first. The cats were incredibly friendly and affectionate, contrary to the aloof nature they are usually known for. Many had been rescued from abusive owners or off the streets and given a permanent home here. While we were told that a hundred or so lived here, the place was spotless and the cats genuinely well cared for regarding nutrition, hygiene and individual health problems. It was also really good to learn that a psychologist referred patients here for pet therapy (e.g. trauma, anxiety and depression), to good effect. RM 10 per hour certainly does not cover the cost of taking care of all these cats. We definitely stayed longer than an hour and clearly the place didn't exist for a commercial purpose, so we gave a larger donation :)
As for the cafe, the malay kuih was delicious! The texture and level of sweetness were just right. We tried so many varieties and purchased some to share with family friends. The cafe is also very clean and safe for travellers. Overall we were very impressed with this place want to thank the patient, lovely people who took the time to talk about the cafe's history, the individual cats and offer us detailed food...
Read moreCalling out all cat lovers here. Here is some bits of my experience at this cafe:
Please don't get confused as the cafe itself do not have cats around. The cafe serve purely food. If you want to see the cats, you need to inform the cafe staff and they will show you the way to the showroom. It is actually next to the cafe and you need to get a lift to level 3 (above the cafe).
The food was nice. My daughter tried red velvet cake and nasi tomato, and I got myself a mee bakso. We came during lunch time around 1pm. They don't provide freshly cooked dish at that time and those we had were ready-made. Still the taste was nice. Their specialty is kueh talam and other kueh also available.
After we finished the lunch, we went straight to the cat's showroom. It is basically more to a shelter. They have more than HUNDRED CATS! The place was quite clean. They have rooms to separate some cats. We can see some cats are healthy and cute but some are still under treatment. Various breeds from persian, scottish fold, LDH, SDH and the one and only a very old Maincoon. The ticket is RM10 per person. My kids really enjoyed their time there and begging me to stay longer.
Overall we were so happy and hope to come again in the future...

Does anyone even read this? Lol. Went here after Ceddys explanation on the ladies hardships and how they’re struggling in this pandemic, gave their kuih talam a try and it was actually really good! Will always drop by here to show support and maybe one day go visit the cats once it’s open to public. I apologise for my bad review previously.

Went to this cafe to get myself drown in cats after working hours but got disappointed as one of the owners of the cafe mentioned they couldn’t open the floor with cats to the public due to the pricey sanitation price and tedious covid SOP. I was hungry so i proceeded with ordering nasi goreng kampung only to be disappointed again by having a very oily non nasi goreng kampung.. 😞 not mentioning the waiting time is also pretty long as there were barely anyone there when i came. Maybe it’s just my unlucky day.. i just wish to chill with...
