Thai Village — Good Vibes, Decent Bites Our gathering rule is simple: never repeat. Always try somewhere new. This round? Thai Village—picked by our tom yam lovers. . The place has changed hands so many times, we’ve lost track of what it used to be. But one thing’s clear now—the ambiance screams Thai. Think underwater dreams: octopus-like lighting, soft glow, and ocean feels. . We were ready for a feast. . Greeted warmly by the friendly Kang Xi, we ordered: Tom Yam Soup (RM35) Portion worth the price, but taste didn’t hit the mark. We’ve tasted enough tom yam to know—this felt powder-based, not the rich, authentic broth we craved. . Som Tam (RM24) Papaya salad with prawns. Refreshing, tangy. Just a little too salty—maybe balance it next time based on the whole meal set. . Thai Shrimp Cake (RM28) Surprisingly decent. However, due to tom yam and som tam, we have eaten a lot of prawns, and we could hardly taste the shrimp in this dish. . Stir-fried Garlic Pork (RM35) This dish stole the spotlight. Crunchy edges, tender inside. Just the right thickness to enjoy real meat texture. Loved it. . Drinks Served as expected. No complaints—just good. . Red Ruby Chestnut (RM15) Freebie when you leave a review online. A sweet gesture—literally. Way too sweet though. Had to water it down with ice. . The real highlight? Not the food. It was Kang Xi, and bubbly Hua Hua, who lit up our night with nonstop jokes and contagious laughter. Honestly, they reminded us—joy can be as simple as sharing a laugh over dinner. . Will we come back? Yes—for the garlic pork, the ambiance, and the good energy. . Would we recommend it? Absolutely. If our review doesn’t show it, nothing will. . . Read moreI had an absolutely fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was authentic, flavorful, and downright delicious.
We ordered a feast and everything was a hit. The Tomyum soup was the star of the show—perfectly balanced with that iconic spicy, sour, and aromatic kick. It was so flavorful and authentic.
We also had the braised pork knuckle , which was fall-off-the-bone tender and incredibly rich. The Thai seafood fried rice was packed with fresh ingredients and had that wonderful "wok hei" smoky flavor. For the drink, the Thai green milk tea was creamy, sweet, and the perfect refreshment. I even got to enjoy some lemongrass with my meal, which was a lovely, fresh touch.
Beyond the amazing food, the service was top-notch. The staff were friendly and attentive . They made us feel right at home.
Another huge plus is the ample parking space. it made our visit so convenient and stress-free
I highly recommend this place to anyone craving genuine Thai cuisine. I will definitely be back to try...

Came here with my family for dinner and we had a really good time. The atmosphere was cozy and spacious, great for bigger groups. Staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in.
We ordered the Seafood Tom Yum, Crispy Pork, Fried Garoupa, Shrimp Paste Kangkung, Papaya Salad, and Mango Sticky Rice – everything was tasty and served hot. The Tom Yum had a nice kick but wasn’t too spicy, so even my parents enjoyed it. The fried fish was crispy and fresh, and the crispy pork was one of our favorites – crunchy outside, juicy inside.
My mum loved the papaya salad – very refreshing and tangy. The mango sticky rice was the perfect sweet finish.
Portions were just nice for sharing, and the overall price was reasonable for the quality and variety. We didn’t have to wait long for food even though it was quite busy.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for a good Thai meal with family in Malacca. Will definitely come back to try...
