Kuih Keria Antarabangsa Melaka Haji Jalil — Restaurant in Malacca

We had two failed attempts to get a taste of the much raved kuih keria antarabangsa during our previous visits to Melaka.

Undeterred, persisted only to be redirected, as kuih antarabangsa Hjh Rahmah is now sold at a property. Third time lucky! It was Thursday lunchtime and there was surprisingly a very short queue with 2-3 persons before me and 1-2 persons behind me, however the person in front ordered 60 pcs! There were only about 15-25pcs left after my purchase. 3 huge round trays, all cleared!! Keeping to it's reputation, a new queue had started, patiently waiting for the next delivery which was about 10-15mins later as kuih is prepared offsite.

Was excited to taste this very popular kuih. On first bite, i was rather disappointed as the gula melaka coating tasted "too sweet" and filling almost "tasteless" (expectations too high)! However upon finishing my first keria, i found myself wanting to have another. What really got me was how wholesome and chunky the sweet potato was, soft and almost "succulent" to chew, unsweetened and nicely balanced by the naturally sweet gula melaka coating. Totally addictive. We actually went back next day (twice), thinking it was only closed during Friday prayers however it remained closed.

Definitely worth a try if in Melaka. Go on a weekday to avoid long queues!!...

Opening hours stated 11.30am. When i asked the staff they said the store opens at 12pm. End up waiting another 30 minutes as it opened up one hour later than what was stated (12.30pm). Please improve on punctuality no matter how successful your business is. Plus, each batch of kuih keria is sufficient for only 3-4 customer. Next batch need to wait another 15 mins. You should already expect how many customers you get especially on weekends but cant even cater the demand. Bad...

Kuih keria sedap. They are more generous with the ubi, a lot less sweet and more crunchier compared to the other shop (Hajah Rahmah). Crunchy outside and super soft inside, less sugary bits outer layer. I love both and cannot choose which one is nicer. Go ahead and try both! We went during the weekend at 12pm and there was no queue, probably because it was also raining 😀

They've moved to a better shoplot which is a lot more easier to get parking.
