My wife and I came to the restaurant famished after vigorous trekking and hike at Tg. Tuan Lighthouse.
From the moment we stepped in the A/C-ed establishment, there was a staff leading inside and immediately took our order.
My wife opted for Banana Leaf Rice (BLR) set, added on Chicken 65 and Curried Mutton. I opted for Mutton Biryani (MR).
The BLR set comes with generous servings of 3 types of vegetables, Stir Fried Long Beans, Masala Fried Plantain and Tumeric Stir Fried Cabbage. They also served unlimited amount of Papadoms as per requests. The MR came in piping hot with the side serving of Cucumber Raita and a Hard Boiled Egg.
The Curried Mutton tastes immaculate and contains very minimal amount of fat. The pieces were big and juicy. The Chicken 65 is served piping hot and marinated to perfection.
Typically MR and the mutton curry they serve with the basmati rice are the same. Here in Aachi Hut, both tasted distinct. The MR is spicy but very flavorful. Rice in aromatic spices
Enough about the food. The main tipping point and something that is unbelievable is the price. Comparing the portions and the freshness of the food, I will say it is worthwhile. The total sum came up to RM 37.00++ (Roughly USD 9 or £7.3), that's a bargain!
Definitely a spot that we will make a visit again to try their...
Read moreThis was by far the worst dining experience I’ve had at an Indian restaurant. The food was a complete letdown from start to finish. The dish I ordered was extremely salty, and when I politely asked for a replacement, all they gave me was plain white rice not even a proper replacement for the dish I paid for.
I also ordered a ghee tosai, but to my surprise, it came with sugar inside, which I never requested and completely ruined the taste. The chicken curry was even more disappointing it tasted like it had been made from old, reheated curry rather than freshly prepared, with a stale and unpleasant flavour.
On top of that, the service was unhelpful and indifferent, as if they couldn’t be bothered to care about customer satisfaction. For the price paid, I expected fresh, tasty food and at least decent service, but instead, I left feeling frustrated and unsatisfied. Definitely would...
Read moreWe ate our breakfast at the restaurant on christmas morning.
Pax : around 13 of us Dishes : roti canai, thosai, rava thosai, idli, idiyappam
The customer service was an average. The waiters were not that friendly and definitely did not suit the restaurant's ambiance. I would give a rating of 2.5/5 for their service.
The food was not the best but good. They served proper indian breakfast (common malaysian indian cuisine) with good curries that went well. The drinks were good too. The price was arnd RM 4/person which's worth it and considered reasonable as the restaurant is equipped with air conditioners and posh looking interior design. I would gladly give a rating of 4/5 for the breakfast that morning.
Taking everything into account, i would rate this...
