Restoran Ah Thiam阿添冷气海鲜餐馆 — Restaurant in Negeri Sembilan

Went to this place as recommended by XHS. First thing to ask from order taker was menu, unfortunately no menu was provided. Feel unsecured as price of the dish is unrevealed.

As saved few posts from XHS before entering the restaurant, we managed to show the photo of dishes that we wished to have. First item that we wanted to order is Sizzling Pan Fry Oysters. However, the order taker mentioned that this dish is unavailable without further explanation. Feel disappointed as we were craving for this dish, and this dish still available 4 months ago (read thru the google review and found out a review about this).

The second dish we wished to order is Nyonya Mixed Seafood. The response we received was, this dish is for minimum 5 pax which is a big portion for us (2 pax). It means, we cannot order this dish. This response was unexpected and we never have this feedback from other seafood restaurants that we visited before. The order taker then recommended Nyonya Fish - as per her recommendation, for 2 pax, the chef can cook the same like how Nyonya Mixed Seafood is served, but for fish, not for mixed seafood. This recommendation makes us feel speechless.

Finally, we ordered Deep-fried Pork Belly with Preserved Red Bean Curd and Nyonya Fish. Dishes were served fast, and the taste was acceptable. The presentation of the dishes can be improved, to be more attractive and presentable.

When having the dinner, there was a lady boss ordering her staff to complete some tasks with high and unfriendly tone which made us feel awkward. Another item would like to highlight is, is sticky when holding the sauce bottle on the table. Afraid the cleaning part is not done properly. Flies happily playing around us. With no choice, we forced to entertain flies while eating.

Paid RM76 for 2 dishes and 2 rice. Taking the dining environment, food taste, service quality into consideration, it...

What was really memorable from the whole experience was, we were asked to google by the lady boss on what was good when we asked for recommendations. I mean, I’ve already done my homework and came to your restaurant as per google reviews, so I just wanted to know what was being recommended by your restaurant but I was referred back to google. What is the whole point of me asking you directly if I could just google all? Might as well I just order from robot, yes? On the same occasion she pointed the nice dish was also served to the 8tv ho chiak hosts…which made me more pissed.

We tried the fish that was served to the 8tv hosts which we were promised by her that its not gonna have that muddy smell, which it certainly did smell muddy. Again, do pictures and google provide reliable reviews? Does it also guarantee no muddy smell? Also nope. Thats why human views are still needed in these matters right?

The only dishes that we tried that we think its above average were the vinegar pork and mini fried squids. Price wise, definitely overcharged (the tilapia in the photo was a whooping RM68) which is the rate I can get from KL with a bigger fish and...

The eggs they fry 3 only but they charge RM16.00 not fare... I have the receipt... If we buy the at the shop i think it will RM3 .00 only... If fried can be cost around RM10.00 only... But they charge RM16.00 not fare... They must change their charges... That's my opinion guys... If they charge for crab , chicken, fish or anything else lyk seafood also I can understand... But, they charge for eggs means I cannot accept it... Guys, pls be alert... For the Egg they charge for two person I cannot accept it...

Hi, again got issue in this shop... Issues about food prices too expensive... We order village Chicken Claypot small portion & Stringray fish Curry ... They charge RM45.00 for the chicken & RM68.00 for the fish... That's really too much expensive because we order small portion only... 1 week ago I got eat Village chicken Claypot 3 pax I order near the restoran also... They give big portion of Claypot... That's really we cannot eat finish... Finally, we pack & go... KPDN, please take action on this... TQ... Sorry, because we don't have the pictures of the foods... Somemore, they write in Chinese means how we can understand... Please next time write Malay...
