We drove up to Fraser's Hill as it was my wife's birthday and we decided to lunch at Aida Diyana Restaurant. Your reviews were very inviting.
The place was crowded ( which was good to see because that would mean good food, right?).
But it was a disappointment to say the least.
The service was slow and not friendly. When we wanted to shift to the balcony since a group had left, we were told we couldn't. No reason.
Then the food was totally dismal except for the Sea Food Fried rice, which was quite nice and well presented.
But the Lamb Chops were chewy and the sauce that came with it was horrible. My daughter only suffered through the chops.
My wife had the Pasta with Roast chicken in Cream sauce.
The sauce was tasteless and runny and the few shreds of chicken actually looked like it had been salvaged from what some other customer left over!
She didn't finish her lunch.
And my Grilled Salmon was okay but this must be the first time in my entire life I tasted Tatar sauce which was nothing more than mayonnaise with green peas.
It was stupid.
I didn't bother to complain because the staff was incompetent and appeared completely indifferent to whatever we asked or said.
And the Entrees of Ceasar salad appeared dead and with the same shreds of chicken (that made me think it was taken from leftovers) and Mushroom soup was served with garlic bread that were nothing more than 2 slices with butter sprinkled with some parsley (I think).
Both these dishes arrived after the main courses were served.
Overall, our experience was one where we felt ripped off, except for the Fried rice.
I would never recommend or revisit this restaurant unless I want to have some local kampung fare. And then also I would think twice.
My suggestion is you stick to your local fare offerings and totally avoid your so call western food. Total failure there.
And also give your FOH staff some basic training in Customer Relationship. They really suck.
However, if I may add, your guitarist was the only other saving grace of our visit. I thought he gave some good renditions of old favourites. I wish...

Looking that there was no customer, we asked the staff whether is it open for business, first impression, they don't bother to walk out and serve or welcome you, we felt abit strange as there was no customer and business should be not very good and if there are customers, they should be happily walk out and welcome you right? So, we sat down and the lady passed us the menu and we ordered 2 main dishes and drinks, she wrote down the order and left. The drinks came and followed by one of the main dish, my friend started eating while I was still waiting for my food to arrive, but after awhile I noticed that no one is cooking in the kitchen and proceed to ask the other staff, the lady who took my order then answered that one of the ingredients are not available hence the dish was not available, WTH is this, and you did not inform me when I order? And she doesn't seem to be apologetic at all, passed me the menu to order and walked away. I was amazed with their arrogant attitude. Besides, they were chit chatting and laughing super loud in front of the customers which I find is very...

This place accepts Credit Card & has ample parking spaces.
Nasi Goreng Kampung hits the spot. It's not too spicy with a subtle hint of Belacan. This fried rice is made with the intense heat coming from the wok. In my opinion, the taste is on par, if not exceeding any other Nasi Goreng Kampung in the lowlands.
Added on fried egg. Somehow the cook knows that my preference is with crispy sides but a still runny yolk. Cheers.
Wife ordered chicken-based Spaghetti Bolognese (beef-based was not available today). It was a typical Malaysian style "Bolognese" but the use of carrot (local?) really brings out the natural sweetness of the sauce. No unnecessary (over)use of dried Oregano or other herbs. Well balanced.
On a (relatively) warmer sunny days, definitely try the Strawberry Shake. It was not too sweet; actually it tastes more like a nice glass of fresh strawberry yoghurt. The color sprinkles is a bit overdone :) but the slices of fresh strawberry provides a welcoming "bite" to the drink.
The house brewed coffee was not strong yet not too weak; a bit Dunkin Doughnut(y-ish) type coffee. It was just right for a not too cold yet not sunny...
