Fresh coffee direct from backyard farm. Kopi Ladang, located in the scenic area of Janda Baik, offers a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Nestled amidst lush greenery, this café provides a serene and picturesque setting that enhances the overall dining experience. The ambiance is a notable highlight, with its rustic charm and tranquil environment making it an ideal spot for relaxation and unwinding. The café’s design is rustic and charming, with wooden furnishings and natural décor elements that harmonize with the surrounding landscape. Outdoor seating is available, providing guests with the opportunity to enjoy their meals while taking in the fresh air and scenic views. The menu features a variety of offerings, including both local Malaysian dishes and Western favorites. The coffee, as the name suggests, is a focal point, with a selection of well-brewed, aromatic options that cater to different tastes. The food is generally well-received, with dishes like the local rendang and Western-style sandwiches both praised for their quality and flavor. The ingredients are fresh, and the preparation is thoughtful, aiming to deliver a satisfying dining experience. Service at Kopi Ladang is typically friendly and attentive, though it can be slower during busy periods. The café’s location, away from the more populated areas, means it’s often less crowded, allowing for a more relaxed and intimate experience. Kopi Ladang offers good value for the quality of food and beverages provided. It strikes a balance between affordability and quality, making it an attractive option for those seeking a pleasant meal or coffee break in a beautiful setting. Kopi Ladang is a delightful destination for those looking to enjoy good food and coffee in a peaceful, picturesque environment. Kopi Ladang Restaurant is a hidden gem tucked away in the small village of Janda Baik, Malaysia. This local eatery specializes in delicious Malaysian breakfast fare like nasi lemak, nasi kerabu, roti kaya, and roti goyang. However, the real star of the show is their locally grown coffee.

Kopi Ladang takes pride in growing and roasting their own coffee beans on site. The result is a smooth, rich coffee with robust flavor that pairs perfectly with their breakfast dishes. On weekends, the restaurant draws crowds of motorcycle and car groups that come from near and far just for a cup of Kopi Ladang's famous coffee.

The food itself is solid Malaysian comfort food. While not overly fancy, dishes like the nasi lemak and roti canai are executed well with fresh, quality ingredients. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. The restaurant has an unpretentious, welcoming vibe.

While it can get quite busy on weekend mornings, the service is fast and efficient. The staff do a good job seating customers quickly and keeping the food and coffee coming out fast during the breakfast rush. Don't be surprised if you have to wait a bit for a table on Saturday or Sunday.

Overall, Kopi Ladang is a delightful spot for coffee lovers and fans of Malaysian cuisine looking for a tasty, authentic local breakfast in a charming village setting. It's worth getting up early and hitting the road to sample their exceptional homegrown coffee paired with classics like nasi lemak. Just get there early to...

First time come here at 8am opening time, even then, still got many ppl queue up. A true testament that this place is really famous for their breakfast meals and it's true. Went with friends and ordered the Nasi lemak ayam berempah, the famous roti goyang which is toasted bread with half boil egg and kaya on top, and their very own kopi ladang like the shop name. First, their Nasi lemak is quite tasty. The sambal was nice enough, tasty and spicy just a bit, chicken was delicious. The roti goyang was the actual wow factor. I've never eaten that kind of setup of egg and kaya mix together like that but it wasn't as weird as I thought, it was delicious and you kinda forget about combination and just enjoy the mix of it all. Definitely one of the highlights you have to try. But sadly the lontong was not that good. It didn't taste like lontong actually. Just soupy taste. Try to avoid it if possible. But the kopi ladang panas, that was pretty awesome too. I'm not a coffee drinker, I get headaches if it's too strong but I just had to try it out of curiosity. Verdict was it wasn't too sweet and was not too kaw, which was perfect for me. I'd order it again if I come visit for breakfast repeats. Overall, one of the best breakfast meals I've ever had in janda baik. Highly recommended place. Just be here as early as possible to avoid traffic, limited car parks and long queues and not to mention possible...

Breakfast with a view of the hilly Janda Baik (and a glimpse of Genting in the distance). We arrived at 7.30 am, when there was no crowd. Had to order at the counter, where we received an order number. There were multiple screens throughout the dining area that showed whether your food/drinks were ready or not, which was nice. However, I would’ve appreciated a QR ordering system in place too—couldn’t imagine the waiting time if we came at peak hours. We were slightly disappointed when we found out that the toast was not available for breakfast, because it looked so good in the menu. So.. we ordered nasi lemak and soto nasi impit, which did not come with begedil—had to order that separately. The food exceeded expectations. The nasi lemak was good. The sambal was on the slightly sweeter side (which I preferred), and still had a good amount of spiciness. The chicken was freshly-fried, well marinated and tender, despite it being a breast cut. The soto nasi impit was good—the soup was laden with warm spices and shredded chicken. The begedil—despite my initial disdain on having to order it separately—was really delicious! So please order it when you’re going for soto. All in all, it’s a good place to have breakfast in Janda Baik. The view is nice on the second floor too.
