Food We tried the pumpkin creamy pasta and aglio olio (not in the menu but waiter recommendation). Both was very delicious, great flavour and big tasty prawns were used. It's just that the menu said it is Seafood for both but there were only prawn in it... that's OK because it was super tasty!!! Highly recommended!
The pizza was slightly underdone on the dough part as it was still raw-ish tasting but it was obviously a freshly made pizza so we can taste the authenticity. Another 2 or 3 minutes in the oven would make it perfect!
The mushroom soup was salty and when we send it back they just added hot water without adjusting the flavor, understand that it is premade in big batch (I assume) however maybe the Chef needs to take some time to ensure the mushroom soup is perfect. The garlic bread was also salty.
Ambiance Cozy, clean and romantic at night!
Service We love our waiter Jeremiah, he's very attentive, great at suggesting best sellers and attending to our many questions without showing slight dislike or annoyance. He should be the example to other waiters!
Overall I would come here again for the creamy...
Read moreAmbiance was spectacular because we were in the vicinity of Colmar Tropicale itself. We dined at the Al-fresco area. Live music was playing and the entire experience was soulful. As for the food, the menu is quite limited for main courses. Aglio Olio was flavourful and one serving could actually feed two pax as it was a huge portion. Pizza was nice too. Potato and Tuna Croquettes were absolutely bland and tasteless. No salt nor seasoning whatsoever and we couldn’t even consume it. Beverage choices were limited as well. Quite pricey. Nevertheless, the ambiance was a win for me. Service was okay too. It’s okay to try dining in here for the experience. However, if you’re a foodie or if you’re really hungry, I wouldn’t recommend this place, there’s not many food choices though, plus food quality is not in alignment with...
Read moreTried La Flamme today and unfortunately, it was a major letdown. We ordered three types of chicken dishes – the roasted chicken, breaded fried chicken chop, and nasi lemak fried chicken – and every single one of them was clearly not fresh. The meat was stale, black in parts, and stringy – definitely a health concern, especially the roasted chicken, which was by far the worst. Honestly, I have no idea when it was even cooked.
The only saving grace was the freshly fried sides like wedges and fries, which were decent. I didn’t try the pizzas, but if they’re using the same stale chicken as toppings, I’d be extremely cautious.
For the price you're paying, you expect at least fresh ingredients and basic quality. Sadly, this was not worth it at all. Very basic taste, and definitely won’t be...
