During my visit to Floral Park in Cameron Highlands, I stopped by The View Cafe to take a break and enjoy the scenery.
The name of the cafe truly reflects what it has to offerâthe view here is simply breathtaking.
Situated at a high vantage point, the cafe provides a panoramic view of the surrounding hills and the colorful blooms of the park below.
It's the perfect spot to relax and soak in the beauty of nature after exploring the gardens.
However, I have to say that the food didnât quite live up to the expectations set by the stunning views.
I tried a few dishes from their menu, and while they were okay, they were nothing to rave about. The dessert in the planter was okay as well.
The breakfast items and pastries were fairly standard, lacking the freshness and flavor one might hope for in such a picturesque setting. Even the local favorites like nasi lemak and mee soto were average at best.
The coffee, on the other hand, was decentâsmooth and aromatic, providing a nice pick-me-up as we enjoyed the view. But again, it wasnât exceptional, just good enough to complement the serene ambiance of the place.
Despite the lackluster food, I would still recommend stopping by The View Cafe, even if itâs just for a cup of coffee or tea. The scenery alone makes it worth a visit.
Thereâs something magical about sipping a warm drink while gazing out over the lush greenery and vibrant flowers of Floral Park. Itâs the kind of peaceful experience that makes you forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life, if only for a moment.
So, while the food might not be the highlight of The View Cafe, the setting certainly is. If youâre visiting Floral Park, itâs still worth taking a break here to enjoy the stunning views and unwind amidst natureâs beauty.
Just donât come with high expectations for the food, and youâll have a...
Read moreYou need to go to the Floral Garden Public Parking first, then get to the garden by their transport. To enter the garden it costs RM50 per person. So if you want to go to the cafe only, it is impossible. We waited around 10-15 mins for the transport. After reaching the park and paid the sum, you need to go to the outdoor park. To reach the cafe you need to go up 200+ steps of stairs and it was honestly challenging for me. You can enjoy walking up while looking at the view. When youre up, they have a sign that congratulates you for your hardwork reaching the cafe.
Okay now for the food. It was ok, we ordered the japanese curry and teriyaki meal. Then the mossy cake. The view is spectacular. It is reasonably priced.
For the garden, if you are not a flower enthusiast, or someone who loves to take aesthetic photos, you may want to skip because the entry is quite expensive.
Overall we were happy for...
Read moreFood is a bit pricey for a basic western menu. Nothing intriguing except the desserts. Croissants were good, scrambled eggs could be better, but the salad with strawberries and iceplants was fresh and tasty. The strawberry matcha made with Niko Neko brand was rich and worth trying.
We wanted the tiramisu but it was meant for four, so we tried the Mossy Forest instead, which was just a brownie with mochi, nothing special.
View was decent but slightly warm as the area is partiallg enclosed. Outdoor seating was less popular since it is near a photo spot. Overall, a quiet and simple place, though we noticed some stains on the windows and crumbs on the seats. Staff was...
