Read moreMy hubby and I visited the Sheep Sanctuary in Cameron Highlands last weekend. It was a wonderful opportunity to be able to see and take pictures with the adorable sheep and alpacas especially.
I saw an ewe chewing on a tissue paper found on the ground. I didn't have the chance the remove it from its mouth when two visitors came with one of them scooping up the ewe for a photo. He did manage to remove half of it.
VISITORS, YOU NEED TO STOP LITTERING! The animals will mistaken it for food.
I know kids are kids but seriously, parents need to remind the kids not to get overly excited. Both overly excited kids and also overly scared/excited adults were making a heck of noise screaming when the alpacas and sheep came near and nudging them for food. I don't know who was more distressed - human or animal. Don't blame the animals if you get attacked, hor.
I also saw a kid wanting to smack a sheep and I waved my finger at him "no-no". Parents/guardians, you need to teach your kids not to hit or kick animals, ya. If your kids cannot behave themselves, don't bring them here. Same goes to the adults.
Entrance fee is RM12/person and it includes a tiny box of pellets also purchasable at RM4 each beside a small bundle of grass. For two of us, we only get one free tiny box and it was gone within minutes. Pretty stingy. :-(
Being in the presence of these lovely animals brought me joy and despite all the annoyances, I did have a good time. Thank you!
