北屋 Kitaya Yakiniku & Izakaya — Restaurant in Penang

For japanese foods lovers, this is a pure made paradise! If you have tried yakiniku or japanese bbq in Japan, this is a must-go place to cure your crave!

This is by far, the best yakiniku in the North. They marinated their beef, lamb and pork well. The green spicy sauce n japanese style bbq sauce are perfect and special, quite appetizing.

Besides, they have fried small shrimp/ebi, especially paired well with beer and sake. And also other great snacks and appetizers to pair with alcohols.

Most importantly, the sunset view, were amazing and unbeatable. Where else in Malaysia could we enjoy good food, great drinks, and superb views, all at the same time?

No problem coming here solo, as couple, or with group of friends and families. Their price are reasonable for the quality of food, service and atmosphere.

Been here for two times. 1st time - reservation via whatsapp, but end up no reservation has been made. Service attitude need to further improve. My kids order 100plus, when request for additional up, it was charge rm3 for an empty cup.

2nd time- brought my family here with senior citizen. Expected it was crowded as it was public holiday, however the service crew attitude are PRO MAX when we asked which dish havent serve yet, in return the waiter replied : we dont know what you order, you only know what has not been serve. Not enough utensil provided , as next table need some utensil to made BBQ , they came and clean up our table, but we havent done our meal yet.

Overall , service attitude need to improve, system on serving need to take note which dish has not serve yet. Secondly , limited space, need to...

Nestled by the sea, the seaside restaurant boasts stunning views, enhancing the dining experience. However, service fell short. Despite multiple attempts to order, only one attentive waiter noticed. The Sukiyaki Pork set, reasonably priced and perfectly portioned for two, impressed. The delicious gyoza added to the enjoyment. Unfortunately, a mishap with the order for pork curry rice highlighted inconsistent service. While the food quality met expectations, the overall experience was marred by poor service.
