After all the hype, decided to try this shop. Positive comment Friendly staffs. Very accomodative and helpful. Recommended their famous teas n communicated in a friendly manner. Kudos! Ambience: cozy, not too congested. Not too hot. They have big fans to keep us cool. Simple design.

Negative comments We ordered safron tea, rose tea, jasmine tea and punjabi tea. Honestly, all the teas had the same taste. The only difference was the safron bits on the safron tea, jasmine flowers on the jasmine tea and rose petals on the rose tea. The taste were all the same. I didnt get any rose taste or jasmine taste. Nevertheless, the tea itself had a pleasant taste. PS: included sm flowers left in the tea picture. Drank the tea already We ordered their 4 piece cake for RM10. Hoping for a bigger piece of each cake. Firstly we were dissapointed with the size of each cake. Secondly, the taste of all the cakes were the same. It was just butter cake. As a cake lover, i can definitely differentiate a proper choclate cake taste and a proper red velvet cake taste. All i tasted was butter cake with flavours and colours. Quite dissapointed with this place. Nevertheless its a good start. Hope you guys can improve on...

This is one the best and cleanest tea shop I’ve been to , even compared to many in India 🇮🇳and Sri Lanka 🇱🇰. As a traveller who loves tea and desserts, I found this lovely cafe in Perai, Penang as we stayed in ixora hotel closeby, around 150 meters. For those who understand and really want quality tea leaves, not tea dust...then this is the place... In most shops the tea would be very thick because of the remains of tea dust, but this surely perfectly brew... The menu was a pleasant surprise thoughtfully curated with options for dessert lovers and even a no-sugar menu like my mother prefers. However,I highly recommend their Punjabi Tea rich, aromatic, and made the traditional way with spices and a slow brew that brings out its full flavour. My husband absolutely loved the traditional Kerala coffee, less sweet and authentic. We also tried their Rajasthan Gulab Jamun with Ice Cream, which tasted just like the one we had in Mumbai. Lastly the potato bun which was served hot, ok this cafe deserves a review,we has 2 potato buns served hot...

Decent but Overhyped; Needs Stronger Flavors & Authenticity

I visited this tea shop after seeing it on social media, and while the owner’s community efforts are commendable , the overall experience was just okay. The masala tea lacked a spicy kick it was creamy but mild, missing the bold ginger-cardamom punch I expected. The saffron tea and rose milk were overly sweet, with subtle flavors drowned in sugar. The ambiance is simple with nice artwork, but it feels more like a basic restaurant than a dedicated tea shop. I couldn’t see a double boiler for fresh milk, which made me question the authenticity of the preparation. Pricing is a bit steep (RM5 for a glass) given the quality. It’s a convenient spot, but not deeply satisfying. For a proper "kadak chai" experience, I’d recommend other places in KL with stronger, more authentic brews.

Final Verdict: Friendly service and good intentions, but the flavors need refinement. Better for casual visits than true tea lovers. Try once, but temper...
