Magalir Villas (மகளிர் விலாஸ் உணவகம்) — Restaurant in Penang

First time there to try out. I ordered curry chicken, 2 types of vege n a glass of hot milk tea. The tea is too diluted n not creamy or tasty. The chicken is too dry n without gravy. Eventhough if u try to scoop up more curry gravy u will b scooping up more chilli oil as the plate containing the chicken is too shallow. Taste is not too bad. As for the vege (daun manis), the container is too shallow n not much vege left. As for the 2nd vege (radish) it is not well cooked as it is still semi-hard. Maybe others may like it this way. The opening hours is from 7am till 3pm. Ample parking space if u do not mind walking a short distance. The price is reasonable. I wanted to try poori, idlli or varda but only available for breakfast. Overall not a bad experience. The place is clean n no houseflies. I have no opportunity to try other dishes in deep pots with plenty of curry. It's self service....

Even though food is good, service is great. I had to leave a 1 star (I feel sorry to the owner and fans of Magalir Villas). The bad experience with customers who feel entitled to double park 'just for a moment' to buy food, without a driver in the car. (Can't even park their cars properly, bikes taking up the carpark spot). To find my car was blocked after my meal! I honked for the driver, the driver angrily scolded me. Is it the driver have no idea they are illegal parking and blocking the way? Just spoiled my experience of good food at this place. I can no longer gave my patronize for idli and tosai. Suggestion tothe owner: can you please reserve the car spot in front for your shop especially for customers who needed 10min to buy food from you and no other...
