This restaurant gave me a good impression when ordered their banana leaf food via online. The portion is big, curries are good, and they packed the banana leaf for you as well. I decided to visit thier restaurant at Chai Leng Park and it is a two shoplots restaurant. Can be easily recognize with their big signage. The environment was just like any mamak store, and their food display looked delicious. I ordered the Banana Leaf Mutton Curry set. The food was nice and curries were good. You are allowed to top on the curries by yourself, which was great. Their lassi came with a tall glass, taste good. After finishing the meal, I am preparing the review of this restaurant, and things turned awkward. The staff start cleaning my table while I still have my lassi on the table. It was messy and disturbing. The staff need not clean up the table while the customer is still there, and there were only a few customer during the rainy day. The price is on the high side comparable to other premium Indian restaurant. Parking is available along the roadside, but this is a busy business area. Parking is difficult...
Read moreThe meal maker I ordered was spoiled, and when I brought it to the staff’s attention, I was met with an unacceptable response. Instead of addressing the issue and offering a solution, I was told, “Am I the only one who is complaining? Others aren’t saying anything about their food.”
This is not only unprofessional but completely disrespectful. As paying customers, we expect to be treated with respect and have our concerns addressed appropriately. There’s a proper way to communicate with customers, and dismissing legitimate complaints with a condescending attitude is not the way to handle it.
Moreover, it’s important to remember that providing quality food is your responsibility as a restaurant. We’re not here to simply shut up and eat whatever is given to us, especially when it’s spoiled. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and trains their staff to provide better customer service and maintain food quality.
This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I won’t be returning...
Read moreTypical spot for breakfast and dinner. However, I decided today was the last time I will ever have any of my meals at Sri Suriya. I ordered a set of banana leaf meal as usual. It used to be RM8.00 but recently the price went up to RM8.50 in April. As a regular customer, I have always requested to fill up vegetable after the first serving (FYI: When you order vegetarian banana leaf meal, you can request for 2 times free fillings of rice or vegetables - This was asked by me to waiter beforehand). Hence, as usual, I decided to add vegetables again (only once). I was shocked when I have to pay additional charges of RM2.50 today. Cashier was rude when I confronted him that this vegetable was free as stated by waiter earlier. He even said why you requested for vegetable but did not order any water. This has never happened before this. I was shocked. Is this a way of manipulating your customer if you did not understand what I was ordering? RUDE. WILL NEVER...
