Bali Bali Cafe — Restaurant in Perak

Wanted to give this a higher rating because I've come here once & loved my experience, hence I decided to bring my family here for my father's birthday. However, I'll need to drop my ratings this time. Let me break down to points -

Pros: Their menu has a wider range of foods now compared to the last time. It looks more like a restaurant menu compared to the binded laminated book. The new order chit system is much better compared to the last time, as previously I had to line up at the counter to place my order. Staff & waiters (especially the Indian young woman, forgot her name) were very friendly & kind enough to change my pumpkin soup when I commented that it was too watery. The ambience of the whole restaurant gives it a very soothing vibe. Nice dining place for small birthday functions.

Cons: The prices of the F&B have increased a lot (their burgers are now in the RM20's compared to the last time when I ordered, which was RM18), & the portions have became smaller as well. The food quality has dropped tremendously, from the fries being undercooked, to the soup being too milky/watery. Their desserts also need to be checked as the white forest cake that I ordered apparently has been in the fridge for more than a week. It tasted like cardboard. Not worth the RM15. Drinks wise, they have also reduced in size whilst the price hike. The burger that my father ordered portion was small, & it being RM22.90, I could get a bigger one in KL for a very similar price. To be honest, their price is very expensive, even for someone like me who's used to KL pricing.

Am giving it a 3 star because of the good, friendly & helpful staff members, but I came here for food, & the food had been disappointing, despite the staff members trying their best to help out...

On 19/10/2024, 12:57 PM - I had a disappointing experience at Anson Bali Cafe! This was my 3rd visit to this cafe & I’ve also stayed here for a night in the past.

This time, I brought my 2 y/o autistic nephew, who only eats food from the Chicken Rice Shop. We decided to get takeaway for him, as it’s the only meal he would eat & me and my mum planned to eat at your cafe.

Upon entering, the female staff member informed us that outside food was not allowed. However, after we explained our situation, she kindly permitted us to enter ya! We ordered our food, made the payment, and sat down. My mother began unpacking the meal for my nephew, who had not eaten since the morning & was clearly hungry. At this point, a male staff member approached us and informed us that outside food was not allowed, reiterating the cafe’s policy despite our earlier explanation. He insisted on enforcing the rule and mentioned that there was a poster outlining this policy, which I understand and respect.

However, lack of understanding & empathy shown in this situation. We had already explained that my nephew has a very specific dietary need, and it was quite disappointing that there was no consideration for this. We even asked if we could sit outside with the food, to which the staff agreed, but it was still not a pleasant experience to be told to leave after we had already ordered and paid. Thankfully, the weather was not too hot outside, but the experience was unpleasant!!

This was the 1st time I’ve ever encountered this type of issue, and it left a negative impression! Considering the circumstances, appreciated a bit more understanding from the staffs. Regrettably, this will be my last visit to Anson Bali Cafe due to the lack of empathy and consideration...

The range selection of drinks and food is great, variety of them to choose.. I like the most is the ambient surrounding feel very relaxing 🥰

We tried: Hazelnut frappe: like normal everywhere you can get Mango smoothie: it’s like an ice blended mango without milk😆 we should go for mango milkshake or yogurt 🙈

Mushroom soup: we like the mild taste of the soup and the garlic bread as well❤️

Chocolate muffin: we like the taste of rich chocolate flavour also the sweetness is sweet but not too sweet🤔, of course we like the art on the plate more!!😂 get the special feeling gituuuuu😆

We tried to sit near the glass corner for a greener view but due to the weather and we couldn’t feel the aircond 🫠 we change to the inside dark corner 😂 baru lah sejukkkk lega..

We don’t try other heavy menu as we had our breakfast already and next time for sure will come again and try 👍

Btw, the staff are also friendly during our visit! Tq🫶🏻

They greeted us when we entered and followed us to the table, gave the menu and instructed us to tick the order in the form and after that proceed to order and need to pay first before...
