Heritage Town Cafe Gopeng — Restaurant in Perak

Yesterday 20/5 visited at 7pm, slight drizzle at that time. Went to our sit and we started to look at the menu, decided to change place to sit due to the kids like running around.

Order food before any new customers before us to make sure food arrive ASAP(2hungry kids). 8.15 food is still not served knowing the place is crowded. And when I see the server send the food to the next table it caught my attention SO SO much cause we arrive and ordered food before that table. Raised my hand to server and they giving me signal my food is On the way. After seeing that whole table food is all served then only my turn. They have 8 adult and we only have 2 adult and 2 children we ordered only 3 items, so time to settled their order is longer before preparing ours. I asked the server and first things he says is, your order is missed cause order chit drop.

Best thing to do is to Apologise and tell us food is on its way before customer even asked “where is my food?”. Thank God that I keep my cool to not really scolded the server.

Food is totally suck due to the bad mood that they’ve let us experience and I ordered Pesto Pasta WITHOUT black pepper, it come Pesto Pasta WITH black pepper. Simple instructions but can’t follow. My family have been dining here at least once a month for the past 9 months, some time more and this is by far the worst day that we’ve experienced. Most of the time server are not polite or friendly.

Environment here is nice and quiet. The decorations here are nice and impressive.

Food: Tori Katsu Curry Rice(RM16.90): The portion is small and there's no potato or carrot together with it.

Ebi Fry Curry Rice (RM19.90): The bowl used for containing the food is nice, but not convenient to scoop from it. It's only suitable to use it for decoration.

Carbonara Spaghetti (RM16.80): It's definitely looked and taste like a Vegan Spaghetti even though it's not. Portion is very very disappointing as the price listed does not match with the portion given.

Overall, the food are very disappointing. The price charge for the food is expensive which doesn't match with the given portion. The last time I went here, the food is nice and the price are reasonable with the portion given.

They also changed their menu and there are less and less food options now. From having a variety of food from Chinese, Western, Mexican & etc to choose from suddenly only left a few Western options which left me speechless.

There's also a language barrier between the customers and staff. Even though we've tried to communicate with the staff politely, they act like they doesn't understand what we say and laugh about it with the other staff which is rude.

If the management is looking at this post, I hope you can make some improvement for this place. For now, I would not come back...
