Having seafood by the water sounds charming, doesn't it? Perhaps that's why my wife insisted on driving 30mins out here. Lucky for us, it was opened at 5+pm when we arrived. Staff were welcoming and friendly, always a good sign as we sat down at our table with a good view of the fishing and tour boats plying Sungai Sepetang.
Dinner consisted of steamed fish, lala (Venus clams) in superior broth, vegetables, and seafood porridge. Portions are fairly large. Even the small portion is kinda large for the two of us. Order wisely or you'll end up over-eating.
All in all, the chef did justice to the fresh seafood. Our fish was steamed with a light tangy sauce of tomato and preserved vegetables. The broth of the Venus clams was delicious with a hint of Chinese wine. Porridge had a generous amount of rice mixed with pieces of fresh prawn, squid and fish. We were very full and satisfied by the end of the meal.

The first impression was not pleasantly good as most staff did not seem polite except the foreign worker as they weren't wearing any smiles when dealing with the diners. The restaurant doesn't have fresh live grouper. Only frozen one was available. However they have big live crabs. We ordered a steam grouper fish, fried asparagus, crab meat tofu and claypot fish maw. It happens to be the steam grouper fish was good even though it wasn't the live fish. The worst is the crabmeat tofu as we were barely able to taste the crabmeat and the serving was cold!!! The claypot fish maw and fried asparagus were just ok. Another thing was when asked for garlic, it was surprising to know that their garlic is finished at around 6pm and no afford to prepare for it! Unbelievable! There are plenty of seafood restaurants around, I probably will go for others when next time I visit...
