Really amazing hidden gem just a 30-min drive from Taiping. A lovely cafe located on a fish farm on the mangrove river itself. The owner is really friendly and helpful; we booked a table for a friend’s birthday and it was easy to communicate all the arrangements. The view is lovely and there’s a short 5-min boat ride to the restaurant (be sure to call the owner and he’ll send the boat within 10 mins). Everything we ate was super delicious and affordable. The star was the grilled fish; super fresh (just caught that afternoon) and tender. The sambal udang is packed with flavour and the only thing stopping my friends and I from eating all of it was the level of spiciness (which I think most people will enjoy). The portions are really generous for the price and ambiance, and the service is super attentive. We were there on a Sunday evening and had the whole place to ourselves. Highly recommended to check this place out as it’s worth the drive from...
Read moreMe n my husband had a wonderful lunch experience at Puff cafe. Firstly, when we arrived at Kuala Sepetang eco tourist jetty, I contacted the cafe and a pleasant voice greeted me . He told me that his restaurant is a floating restaurant and he would send a boat to pick us up to the cafe. What a pleasant surprise. Shortly the boat arrived n pick us up and we were otw to the cafe. The boat man suggested that we observed the sea Eagle feeding otw too n was an awesome moment indeed . Away from the crowd , we had lovely prawn pasta n chicken chop sitting at the floating cafe located on the upper deck overlooking Kuala Sepetang. The staff were very friendly, food was lovely n even brought my husband to see puffer fishes down below the cafe. The owner even called me again to make sure everything was OK. Privately, the boat brought us back to the eco tourists jetty. Will definitely share this wonderful experience with my friends. N...
Read moreThis is a lovely quaint cafe set on a small kelong and is just a short boat ride away, less than 10 mins. On the way to the cafe, you can see mangrove eagles.
It is a lovely place to chill out with friends or family. Menu is not extensive but that's the charm where you have focus. The cafe is owned by a friendly chap named Mason. He himself is also the chef.
The view is great especially if you patronise during evening for sunset. And after dinner you can arrange for a firefly tour with the cafe. The amount of fireflies here is more than Kuala Selangor due to the pristine conditions here.
I dropped by this cafe twice in 2 days. It can get busy during school holidays and it's best to call...
