Simple Cafe - Kampar — Restaurant in Perak

This is a small and cozy lunch place. We were informed beforehand that there's only 1 chef available so there would be some delays if there are too many orders. The fish and chips are fried to golden brown and the batter has some seasoning though I still find dory to be too mild tasting. The pork chop was quite good but was slightly thin though you somewhat expected that with the price offered while I find the accompanying pan fried potatoes to be refreshing and different. Their menu is just 2 pages including drinks and maybe that's a good thing as they concentrated on what they do best rather than having too many varieties on the menu. The drinks are also quite good but I find the lack of coffee offering a little disturbing. It's like coffee in cafes is presumed to be the norm but not here. They offered 2 scoops of ice creams for every reviews made with no strings attached, even 1 star. I just happened to find them to be clean, efficient, tasted quite good and offered a good value for money.

Food is normal suits the name of shop Simple. Atmosphere normal crowd with many people especially students. The MVP is definitely the service goes to the waiter no need to be too paranormal of getting too good service like 5 stars Michelin this is not Japan the waiter not only need to serve you only. I am shocked that they got one waiter only but the waiter is so good. One people can handle a lots of things like giving Menus, making drinks, washing the cups, serving the foods, ,handling customers bills and problems but he seems a little bit of tired. He sure is very busy like barely make it to sit and finished eating his lunch. He's also a very cultured and friendly person I also heard his phone is playing Hololive vtubers streams I talked with him a bit about it he seems a bit shy. Overall will come again maybe to get the food and to have a good chit chat with the waiter....

The location of this cafe is quite hidden. The environment here is nice and clean. There's no smoke smell and it's well ventilated. It's spacious and bright.

I ordered: Grilled Chicken Chop Rice with Mushroom Sauce (RM13.90) Fish and Chips (RM15.90)

The portion size is okay. The rice is quite dry & the portion of the grilled chicken is small. The Mushroom sauce taste bland and watery. I taste better Western food in Kampar.

Waiting time is quite long considering there's only 1 group of people in there which their food already arrived for a long time.

There's only one waiter in this cafe. He's not friendly and rude. The way he asks question is like he wanna pick up a fight with the customers. Definitely should improve his...
