Tucked away on a quiet street, far from the usual hustle and bustle, Yuan Mun Restaurant is a hidden gem for noodle lovers. We ordered the roast pork noodle and Hakka noodles, and both dishes were impressive.

The roast pork was beautifully roasted, with a good balance of meat and fat, giving it a rich flavor and satisfying texture. The noodles were springy and well-coated in a flavorful sauce. The Hakka noodles were just as enjoyable, and the accompanying soup was surprisingly generous — filled with various ingredients, some quite unique, all tasting fresh and well-prepared. The wantan may not be the absolute best, but it’s definitely above average.

We also had an iced coffee, which hit the spot — smooth, flavorful, and perfect for the hot weather.

Randomly stopped by here on our way up to Krabi, Thailand. The shop is new (3 months old) and set up is very basic. But the food is super good! I ordered ban mian and iced yuan yang. The noodle was springy and smooth, super slurp-worthy. The clear broth is packed with flavour. Plus the fried pork lard and fried minced pork (the little black bits you see in the pic), the combo is out of this world.

Coffee was great too! Smells nutty and toasted. Overall a damn good lunch. Highly recommend!! Cheap too, since this place is not located within Ipoh town where most...

I stumbled upon a spot that serves classic Hakka noodles with that authentic, old-school taste. Having tried a few well-known Hakka noodle places around Ipoh, I can say this one has definitely earned a top spot on my list! The flavor and texture are just right – perfectly balanced. A highlight for me was the blend of three different sauces, which came together beautifully to enhance the noodles’ taste. Their less-sweet white coffee was also a pleasant surprise, with a smooth, mellow taste that pairs well...
