I don't see many reviews here depicting the true reality of this place . The living conditions of these animals were absolutely deplorable I coudnt find myself to interact or enjoy the animals bcs they look like they're suffering . The enclosures are ridicously small especially for raccoons , birds , meerkat and many more . Intelligent animals who need mental activities are biting cages and pacing back and forth which is a clear sign if deppresion , anxiety, boredom and stress. It's extremely clear the people who run this place have no idea abt animal care or even care for the animals at the fact clearly this is a easy way to make money and profit off of visitors lack of awareness. Food being given lacks variety and nutrition. Social animals like raccons are alone and solitude animals like hamsters are in large groups . Visiting this place mare me never want to visit a zoo again . This isnt a good place to bring children bcs it normalises treating animals unfairly it creates more individuals who think this type. Of stuff is OK. please this isnt a review to bash only this place its a message to many other places like this . There's wilds animals in small hamster cages that is animal abuse . From reptiles to rodents they're all in bad livliving conditions and deppresed these animals aren't happy or thriving they're scared , deppresed and in survuval mode . Malaysia do...
Read moreMy heart broke as soon as I entered the zoo and I regretted buying a ticket and supporting this vile place. Animals kept in very unethical conditions; some animals had completely matted fur and some animals, like the sugar gliders, looked almost dead. Silkie chicken kept in an extremely tight cage with no space to move at all. Rabbits were incredibly stressed and looked like it had an anxiety attack if you tried to pet it. Little to no water for any of the animals in incredibly hot weather, feels like the owner wants the animals to die. There is loud blaring rock music playing as you walk through the zoo as well, which for animals with sensitive hearing, like the bengal cats (also kept in a tiny enclosure) , must be awful. Cold climated animals kept in extremely hot conditions; I'm surprised that they haven't had heat stroke yet. Completely shocked how the employees had fans and plenty of cold water but the animals, which may struggle to regulate heat properly didn't have any fans when in their natural habitat are in much colder places. Racoon was pacing back and forth and looked like it wanted to escape. Only the lizards seemed to be happier as only they suit the no water, hot environment. Overall, DO NOT COME HERE unless you enjoy watching animals suffer. I feel guilty for purchasing a ticket. Not to mention foreigner discrimination as tickets are about 50%...
Read moreBlown away by the amount of animals here and the care provided for them!
8myr per adult is so worth if it contributes to so many exotic species in clean, spacious cages!
there were many staff to look after the animals, give fun facts, and show you how to handle the animals. i ESPECIALLY love their reptile segments!! the staff there were especially nice and help me take photos! they are very knowledgable and i really appreciate them letting me handle so many animals.
kids can enjoy petting the furry creatures like guinea pigs and rabbits. you can also buy feed at a cheap 2 myr.
the place is huge and you can easily spend 2 hours here. it can self-guided with many placards to let you learn about the animals. outside there are emus, peacocks, goats, cows, etc.!
although some animals were kept in small cages (like the male chicken inside and some cats) i understand they may have reasons. baby meerkats were put into a smaler cage, while some cats were maybe quarantined. not sure, but place is so big so they definitely have space...
