Mandy's Delight — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

First time visited this yesterday (25th Mar 2023). Initial impression and expectation was quite high after looking thru the menu... wah, so many choices and the food looks good. Before even ordering, we have already planned what to eat on our next visit! But things started to go down the drain after we ordered.

1/ Service was quite bad. The waiters seem not responding and attentive to our call.

2/ Food was not served according to the order. We ordered curry meehoon mee, but the checklist provided was meehoon only. Upon seeing the checklist, we immediately informed a waiter that the order was captured wrongly. We have confirmed that we've written the order correctly. The waiter corrected the checklist... and yet the curry came with meehoon only!

3/ Taste of food was mediocre at best. The curry noodle was served with either clam/cockle (sorry, can't really confirm as they tasted really weird, didn't look fresh, could be from frozen). The steam chicken was bland. Kopi was so so.

All in, sorry not sure the next visit...

I'm writing this as I'm finishing my noodle here. It is on a sunday morning at 11am. At first, I was quite surprised by the emptiness of the shop when I stepped in. There were only 2 seated table. No other guests came in after me. Totally get it when I got my order.

Char siew wonton mee, the char siew laid on top of noodle are so tiny and precious, I'd use the word pathetic, I got to pick it up and eat pretending nothing happened when half of the piece somehow decided to jump off the bowl. No doubt it has been months since I last came, but this is really a shock to me of how the food quality dropped, as I used to fancy their curry mee (I'm not a curry mee person). Don't think I'll...

Last time was very bad, almost 1 year ago. It was bad to the point that i swear not to come back here again 😂 nasib i give them another chance 🤭
