Lotus Curry House — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

The restaurant is located in a corner lot in Aman Suria. The place is clean and well lit. It is comfortable and not stuffy like some other restaurants of similar nature.

The thosai is good. You can request for crispy if you want a crispy version. The same goes for the roti kosong. The dhal and curry is flavourful.

Food delivery was fast. They messed up the order a little. We ordered crispy thosai and roti canai. They delivered normal thosai and crispy roti canai. We still liked it though.

On another visit, we had to call a bit to get the attention of the waiter. Also they only delivered one of the thosai (of three) as crispy.

They give you a NFC card on ordering. Bring the card to counter to pay. I had to wait at the counter for a bit. Even though the cashier already saw me there, he did not bother to handle my bill until a couple of minutes later. So service is a little lacking in attentiveness, though friendly.

The food here is good...

Terrible place for you to bring your family. The place is filthy, flies everywhere, toilets are dirty and the waiter’s appearance look very unhygienic. There are ants all over the table and they don’t bother to clean up the table after their customer have left. You have call for them to take your order or else they won’t even bother about you. The food is tasteless and these people don’t know how to serve proper banana leave food. They should go for training at Kanna Curry House on how to serve banana leave menu. Finally, the prices done not make sense, so expensive. I would rather spend that money at Pelita Nasi Kandar, where the quality of food there is way better and there is always consistency in the food flavours. Sadly, when I paid for my meal at this place, I even took the courtesy to give my feedback to an old uncle at the counter but he didn’t look the least bothered about it or even apologised to me. So so so TERRIBLE. Very remember today. I left my phone in the restaurant. Before I leave I realized one of the staff quickly went to clean my table. But I haven't known that I didn't take my phone. After 10 mins , I went back to the restaurant and ask all of the staffs. NO one was willing to admit they have taken or kept or saw my phone. I was extremely sad. I was begging them please give me back the phone Please Please Please HELP . But they act like know nothing and refuse to admit. At the end, Luckily two tables of customers stand up and tell the truth. They had kept my phone IN THEIR DRAWER. Than they have no choice and return the phone to me ans said they DO NOT KNOW at all.This is not common sense....
