I came in yesterday for Mutton pot is one of the best in KL, delicious, service is good. Only thing is everytime I dine, I will sweat alot, it can get quite humid during evenings, so be prepare for it.
I just come to know that Cheras Sangong is not the same owner anymore, (due to business related problem) no wonder the Cheras branch mutton pot and even chicken pot taste getting worse by day. I think thier quality control is poor. Even the broth is not thick.
Very funny is, Cheras branch warn me not to park infront of their shoplot because this can block thier feng shui, it was raining that day, so I decided to park infront of the shop, since it's a parking lot. I don't know why the manager/boss didn't give face to me, and said don't park infront of my shop, you are blocking my feng shui. I got upset, I told him ok, if that is so, we will not dine in again! We just went off and vow to never return to the Cheras branch. I am a regular there since sangong open in cheras, I thought they change shop name, but it's different owner. So from today, I won't support the Cheras branch anymore, the manager talk much, offend people. Customer come to eat, they scold customer block their feng shui. Cannot park in front of shop. They offend me once, forever I won't go this shop again.
I hope, looking forward sangong can open a branch in...
Read moreWe visited a restaurant in Ara Damansara that serves Macau-style lamb hot pot. My wife is not fond of lamb, so to cater to my wife's preferences, we complement the lamb hot pot with a chicken variation. As we settled into our seats , the kitchen assistant placed two charcoal stoves , each crowned with two hot pots. We eagerly added the meats and an array of sumptious ingredients to the bubbling broth. When we took our first sip of the broth, we were pleasantly surprised. The lamb flavour was present but not overpowering. the addidition of "tau ju" a soybean paste has seamlessly blended the lamb flavour subtly . The combination made the broth incredibly flavourful and enjoyable, even for my wife, who usually avoids lamb. The chicken soup base was equally palatable, though slightly spicy in taste. The chicken was well marianted, after being simmered in the hot pot, the meat was moist and tender. What really stood out was the prawn paste. After simmering, it transformed into a delightful. crunchy prawn meatball. Overall, the hot pot experience exceeded our expectations. It was a unique twist on the traditional hot pot. We were told there are other versions of lamb hot-pot at other places, but we are fixated for the moment. We are eager to make come back to explore more of their menu on...
Read moreMust order their mutton pot the best compare to other mutton pot out there!!! And surprisingly their chicken pot is nice too!! If you like spicy this chicken pot is must order, For every pot of mutton/ chicken you order they will serve you one bottle of soup for each so you can continue have with soup in the pot🤤🤤 So the direction: you can order a rice, when the pot is served you eat with the gravy and meat first, until half pot then you add the soup, instant noodles into the soup or you can add on other side dish to cook to continue enjoy as steamboat 🤭 My favorite quick bite is the fried tiger prawn roll!!!!! The prawn meat inside is generous 🤣 —But one thing I don't like is the service here, I've been visit this place for many times and bring so many friends here to enjoy their food, once they reduced so much of the amount of the mutton in the pot and I can see the difference, then I ask the Chinese guy staff(wearing spec), his reply is very action and rude! Just because their business is doing very well but this is not the right attitude?????? Then after so long I went again, the shop became quiet and the amount of the meat increased and the gravy also thicker😂 this is the problem when food became famous I mean most of the restaurant will...
