The restaurant is located a stone throw distance away from the Poring Hot Springs gate. Its large rusting signboard sitting tilted towards the hotspring entrance to ensure maximum visibility, straddled on top of its roof.
I had some difficulty earlier to understand why I enjoyed my lunch so much in Poring Station. The food was good, yes, but I would not say it was all 5stars. The asam fish was not top notch that day but the fried egg was delicious. The price was also reasonable.
I found that I was drawn to the restaurant because the family running it put a lot their being into it. The boss lady was personable and genuinely friendly. Her children smiling helping out readily. The premise is clean (category A! the same expected of McDonalds) showing their care and effort they have put into their business even if it was only a small one. Proudly serving their hot dishes with a heart, figuratively. I was moved. The adjective not the verb.
