Used to be a favourite place for dining out since childhood but that's no longer the case. The service level, the food qualities, and even the overall ambiance deteriorates significantly. Of course I don't expect the way they're providing their services to be the same as 2019, but that doesn't mean they can place their services all the way down the freezer bottom section.
Basic services étiquettes i.e. checking with customers whether their foods have arrived, or if their orders are correct at the very least halfway through the meal wasn't even there instead of them calling you for services. It was really awkward to see your family members eating their lunch while I'm sitting there starving with hope that the food will arrive but never does only for us to realise that the food quantity we've ordered wasn't entered correctly at the order tab. I don't expect a fine dining level of service here and no smile is expected since no one can see it underneath the mask, but at the very least say "Welcome. Can I take your order please?" or "Hello, boleh saya ambil order?" when your customer has settled down at the table. It's just a few simple words that can make your services way better and even stands out from plethora of other eateries.
Please don't use this pandemic as an excuse. Yes, it's understandably a tough time at the moment where people dine out less, people have even less disposable income nor have the luxury to dine out like they used to, so please, use this opportunity properly to attract and retain your customers, not the other way around. Happy customers will always return, and vice versa.
To be honest, I'm not a fan of writing such a long and criticising review but what I've experienced today is definitely frustrating enough, and no, I'm not wanting any compensation at all. Just hoping their services improved and maybe I'll give it a try once more but it's definitely not in 2021. Not when I'm prioritising takeaways more...
Read moreThis restaurant has been around for many years as long as i can remember. My absolute favourite is the yong tau fu. The traditional cakes sold here is simoly the best! In term of cleanliness is quite poor especialy the toilet. Food serve bearable fast but the drinks often get delayed. Make sure you update your drinks order with the waitress as they might miss it. Price range from medium to high. They only serve breakfast and lunch so please don't visit this...
Read moreNice authentic kolo mee here. Very old shop I reckon. They have sort of economy rice as well and kuih etc. Noticed it's popular with locals. The coffee was a little too "diluted" for me. Best of all, I like the feel... I envy that people of all races sitting together harmoniously enjoying their breakfast respectively and happily.. This is priceless and I see this in East Malaysia only,...
