Rojak Kucei — Restaurant in Sarawak

As long as I can remember, it’s the most famous place for decades to have Indian rojak growing up in Kuching. Honestly I can’t remember how it used to be after a long hiatus of not being around. They also serve other dishes like Mee Jawa etc..

During my recent visit, I still like the taste of the rojak, but the quantity has shrunk considerably and one serving can be rather small. Maybe it’s inflation and the rising cost of everything… but still worth a try if you’re in the area!

I’ve read negative comments on the waiting time and bad service. I’m unclear what happened, but during my visits there the service was always smooth, quick and efficient. If you waited too long, your order may have been forgotten so just remind them as it’s always pretty busy for them.

Parking is rather difficult to find, so a little luck and patience is needed before you this rojak in...

The good is great. Best Rojak Ayam I have tried. However, the service is not as great as the food. Waited 1 hour in the q to order. Chaos is the word to describe the kitchen. Only 1 person capable to chopping the chicken and he is also the boss. Super multitasking IE, public relations, cashier, giving order to his workers. Give RM 50 when the food arrives and until we had finished our food the changes still not arrived. Ask for it and our RM 19 bill becomes RM 22.
